[HWPL] Nations of Korean War and HWPL. Serial Posting 1. United States of America

Year 2020 is the 70th anniversary of the Korean War which scarred the whole Korean peninsula in the 20th century. Two ideologies (democracy and communism) clashed on a small peninsula as 21 countries fought for the ideologies they followed and more than 50 countries helping one side with medical or financial support. All people struggled for the peace that they believed in, resulting in more than one million casualties. Today, Chairman Man Hee Lee and his peace groups (HWPL, IWPG and IPYG) are working together with people throughout the world for sustainable world peace. I begin these serial postings recalling the Korean War, paying respect to all those who fought and sacrificed their lives in the Korean War, and inform you how Mr. Man Hee Lee and his peace groups (HWPL, IWPG and IPYG) have been working for world peace and for future generations :)

Every week, I will write about one country that participated in the Korean War and how the country has been working together with Chairman Man Hee Lee and these peace groups for world peace :)

Today's country is the United States of America.

The United States of America dispatched 480,000 including General Douglas MacArthur, but suffered almost 20,000 casualties, including those missing and POWs. The USA is the first country to send reinforcements (Task Force Smith) and support South Korea after the war, both financially and medically. They comprised the majority of the United Nations Army in the Korean War.

Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL, who is also a veteran of the Korean War, underwent all kinds of cruelty and hardship in the Korean War and has been working for world peace since 2012. Contributing towards the efforts of Chairman Lee and HWPL, people in the United States of America have responded with great participation to HWPL's initiatives and events. Citizens of Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C. and more cities joined in the annual May 25th Peace Walk, The WARP (World Alliance of Religions and Peace) Office, the Legislate Peace campaign, 918 World Peace WARP (World Alliance of Religions' Peace) Summit. Moreover, some members of HWPL's International Law Peace Committee (which helped Chairman Man Hee Lee to draft and implement the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) come from the United States. Manhattan, Carson City and other cities in the United States of America even officially designated March 14th 'HWPL Day' to commemorate HWPL's Peace Work.

I'm certain and hopeful that people in the United States of America will keep working with Chairman Man Hee Lee and HWPL for world peace and a brighter future for future generations as they have done so far :)

Early this year, HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light. Chairperson: Man Hee Lee) published 'The True Story of HWPL: Peace and Cessation of War', distributing 2069 copies to national and public libraries and museums, national assemblies and universities in 195 countries.

It contains everything about the worldwide peace campaign of HWPL, IWPG (International Women's Peace Group) and IPYG (International Peace Youth Group) through the WARP (World Alliance Religions' Peace) Summit and the Legislate Peace campaign for the enactment of the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) at the UN.

The book tells who they (the peace advocates of HWPL, IWPG and IPYG) met, what they did, the result of their work and their future plan. People from various fields and backgrounds including politicians, diplomats, religious leaders, educational experts, legal experts, the press and teachers praised and greeted HWPL's peace work and campaign.

The True Story of HWPL will serve as definite proof of HWPL's peace work and campaign, and also shows the efforts and enthusiasm of the peace advocates. HWPL and Mr. Man Hee Lee published it to cease all conflicts and wars, and also pass on world peace to future generations as an eternal legacy. Pacific Governments and Civil Society Leaders Seek “Spreading a Culture of Peace” by The Jet on 10th January 2019


HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light. Chairman: Mr. Man Hee Lee) and Pacific Islands Forum will host the Peace Summit of Pacific Leaders on 12th of February at the Parliament of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.

The article published the summit's title as "2019 Pacific Leaders Summit for Peace, Sydney: Center of Spreading Peace Beyond Ethnicity and Borders". HWPL's Chairman Man Hee Lee and political leaders of the PIF (Pacific Islands Forum) member states will participate in the summit to discuss the following topic :

- Promotion of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) to spread a culture of peace across the Pacific.

The DPCW is also well-known within the Pacific region as the only answer for peace-building in the world. The article said the DPCW's purpose is to create world peace through the global cooperation and participation of citizens, and it supports nations' development alongside the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Until now, HWPL has been receiving support from many countries including 55 African countries and Eastern European countries. Moreover, the peace summit this February will bring more support from governmental and social leaders in Asia-Pacific countries.

Mr. Ian Seo, General Director of Department of Public Relations of HWPL said that HWPL's peace campaign and forum will :

- Raise awareness of peace-building by civil society
- Promote a culture of peace through cooperation transcending language, ethnicity, culture or nationality

Every 25th of December is a very well known day for most people in the world - the day when Jesus Christ was born - and it is the day when Santa Clause, in his red costume, delivers presents for every kid in the world with his beloved red-nosed reindeer, Rudolf.

I hope that every visitor to my blog has received wonderful presents from somebody :)

Meanwhile, all the way down in the southern hemisphere, the Australian branch of IPYG (International Peace Youth Group) carried out its own warm campaign for a jolly Christmas!

IPYG is an organization made up of youth volunteers working for world peace across 6 branches, and hundreds of affiliates all over the world working together.

To spread a culture of peace, love and unity, which is also one of the 10 articles of the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War), IPYG Australian branch decided to hug as many people as possible downtown! XD

I don't think this 'Free Hugs' campaign is a simple campaign of showing the love of humanity. I personally think that IPYG wants to tell people that the world should be united to make world peace. And, to do that, just like a small hug can make others feel happy, we need to take small steps participating in IPYG's peace campaign to lead world peace.

I absolutely agree on this phrase "We all have the power to spread : Peace Unity Happiness". Your and my simple resolution for ourselves and the world will change the world.

[HWPL] HWPL and its DPCW Take The Lead For Human Solidarity! UN International Human Solidarity Day

The 20th December is United Nations International Human Solidarity Day. According to the UN, the day was designated to :

- celebrate unity in diversity
- remind governments to respect their commitment to international agreements
- raise public awareness of the importance of solidarity
- encourage debate on ways to promote solidarity for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, including poverty eradication
- encourage new initiatives for poverty eradication

Today, the world is facing new problems such as terrorism, violent conflicts, economic challenges and race and class-related discrimination. The diversity of culture and economic prosperity has brought us valuable advantages but it is also true that materialism and individualism have been increasing to the detriment of humanity.

Extreme materialism and individualism have increased the rich-poor divide between communities, consequently increasing crime rates with a reduction in the rate of people educated.

Moreover, conflicts among many religions in the Middle East and Africa are becoming more severe daily without a good resolution in sight. According to Mr. Man Hee Lee of HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light), 80% of international conflict are religiously-motivated.

What should we do to make the world more peaceful and just for everyone?

Mr. Man Hee Lee, the chairman of HWPL who experienced war, civil war and poverty since childhood, declared the proclamation of the DPCW (the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) in 2016 to end wars, conflicts and global social problems.

The DPCW was established by the HWPL International Law Peace Committee, which is comprised of prominent international law experts from many different countries. It consists of 10 articles and 38 clauses for the achievement of a peaceful world without war.

The DPCW's articles aim to cease all violent and military action between countries and religions, stop weapons production and to spread a peaceful culture across the world. To promote solidarity and peace throughout the world, HWPL provides peace education and its curriculum for many countries. HWPL's Peace education teaches "Sanctity of Life", "Loyalty and Filial Piety" and "Coexistence and Sustainability", so students of all ages can learn to discuss peace, and not violence.

Mr. Man Hee Lee of HWPL has been hosting the 918 WARP (World Alliance of Religions and Peace) Summit Peace Festival on the 18th September of every year since 2014 which prominent politicians, legal experts, diplomats, religious leaders and leaders of women and youth throughout the world have participated in in order to change the world into a peaceful one without war. Now HWPL and its affiliates are working together to introduce the DPCW as an international legally-binding peace law through its enactment at the UN assembly.

The DPCW and HWPL's core initiatives aim to implement the goals and values of the United Nations Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, such as education for all, equality irrespective of gender, nationality, race, religion or ethnicity, and peace and justice.

As an HWPL supporter, I'm certain that Mr. Man Hee Lee and HWPL will continue to fight and struggle for world peace and the cessation of war to achieve a better future for humanity :)

[IPYG] What is the meaning of IPYG's logo?

IPYG (International Peace Youth Group) is a youth organization working for world peace under HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light). It was founded in 2013 by Man Hee Lee who is HWPL's chairman. Since its establishment, IPYG has been leading major initiatives and accomplished many works for world peace with HWPL and other youth peace groups in the world.

Peace walk, 525 High-Five, Peace zone and Law for Peace are all ongoing initiatives that IPYG has founded (You can find out more information about IPYG in other articles in my blog).

Today, I want to talk about the meaning of the IPYG logo which I was wondering about :) Let's start with 'I'

I : Doesn't it look like a young and weak leaf that should be protected so it can blossom? :) Although it is a small leaf with thin branches, it becomes a strong tree with many branches, leaves, flowers and fruits on it, like a young person. Young people have tremendous potential but their lives are now in danger in war-zones around the world. Young people must be protected to ensure a better future of mankind.

P : Isn't it obvious? :) P for Peace! All young people want a world of peace without war!

Y : It looks like a person standing with much vigor in victory. It symbolizes the youth's proclamation of peace throughout the world. We (IPYG and its youth) won't give up spreading the message of world peace and living according to the peaceful message that we declare. Someday, world peace will certainly come so that every person can live in peace, harmony and freedom.

G : This is embracing the earth. G stands for the hearts of youth and their dreams for peace. The hearts of IPYG and its partner organizations are so great that it can contain the whole world within them, not focusing on self-interest or selfish gain but on the precious needs of the world and humanity (lives of all). IPYG will make peace come true.

I didn't know that the logo had this much deep meaning. It touches the bottom of my heart :) I really hope that IPYG will keep carrying out wonderful initiatives until the day world peace is established.

Greetings! Family of Peace :) Today is the 19th and there are two sessions that you can watch live! In this article, I am going to introduce the IWPG (International Women's Peace Group) session.

IWPG is one of the two wings of HWPL and is comprised of women, who are often major victims of war and world conflicts. In order to protect their husbands and children from war and to nurture women's basic rights, they work in collaboration with HWPL through major initiatives (the DPCW, 'Legislate Peace' campaign etc.).

Moreover, there will be more topics and case studies of peace initiatives by leaders from many countries :)

IWPG has been carrying out many global peace initiatives with HWPL to support HWPL's peace work and its DPCW through the 'Legislate Peace campaign'. Furthermore, IWPG also works for the improvement and protection of women's rights globally. Let's take a look at their work :)

Women are major victims of war and conflict who lose husbands and children because of hostilities. Moreover, they are exposed to sexual harassment and crime. Even now, many women in the world are victims of discrimination and receive poor treatment in their community and country.

Then, who should move to change the current situation? First of all, every woman must be united with one heart to push IWPG's main initiatives. I'm so sure that women united as one will move the whole world. They comprise more than half of the world's population - 3.6 billion. Then what are you waiting for? :)

Regardless whether you are a single woman or a mother, you have to participate in this global campaign to change the world for yourself.

IPYG has been carrying out and participating in HWPL's initiatives to support HWPL's peace work and its DPCW through the 'Legislate Peace Campaign' and 'Peace Letter Campaign'.

Moreover, in today's session, all youth leaders will talk about what they have been doing and show their results. They will also discuss how they can improve on the aforementioned peace campaigns for world peace.

And, now, we need more youth who can join peace campaigns and write letters that urge for no war (including reunification of the Korean peninsula) and world peace to leaders of each state in the world.
If there is a break-out of war or conflict in any country, young adults are the ones who fight on the battlefield and lose their life. Therefore, we have to be united as one to stop war and world conflicts in order to protect ourselves and our future.
