The 2019 HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) 'World Peace Summit: The 5th Anniversary of the WARP Summit' main theme is "Legislate Peace" and sub-theme is 'Implementation of the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) for Sustainable Development'.

HWPL's Chairman Mr.Man Hee Lee has been working for the enactment of the DPCW in the UN general assembly with peace advocates of HWPL and its partner groups - IWPG (International Women's Peace Group) and IPYG (International Peace Youth Group).

The DPCW consists of 10 articles and 38 clauses to cease all wars and hostilities and to maintain peace throughout the world.

Today, I bring you quotations by people currently working with HWPL to implement the DPCW :) Let's listen to what they say about these peace groups (HWPL, IWPG and IPYG) and the DPCW.

Mr. Lee answered 5 questions about world peace but I'm only sharing a few of Mr. Lee's answers. Mr. Man Hee Lee the Peace Advocate who has traveled around the world more than 30 times and visited more than 100 countries since 2012 for the world peace

"Peace is not just a matter of one individual or one country. It matters to all people of the world...."

Absolutely true. If we can't stop world conflicts, wars will come to everyone which will lead us to doom.

"All world religions must return to this original meaning of religion. They must not be the source of conflicts with one another..."

If most conflicts in the world are caused by religion, then they have to engage in dialogue with each other to resolve their problems. We want a peaceful end to all conflict.

"If heads of state truly love their citizens and their countries, they will not be able to ignore the will of the people.........Their (the youth) Peace Letters will certainly move the world."

I also think that a true politician must consider the future and happiness of all people. What good is politics if people are close to death and surviving miserably without peace?

A few days ago, Nigerian Tribune (Nigeria's most informative newspaper) published news regarding this agreement with quotes from Mr. Man Hee Lee (the chairman of HWPL) :)

So, today, I want to share some of Mr. Man Hee Lee’s quotes made during the agreement and the congratulatory speech session.

Nigerian Tribune, Nigeria, November 9th 2018

"AT THIS TIME, THE WORLD IS CRYING OUT FOR PEACE SINCE IT IS SURROUNDED BY WARS. THE WORLD IS DEVELOPING WEAPONS OF DESTRUCTION RATHER THAN DEVELOPING A CULTURE OF PEACE."

The chairman’s concerns are that people are producing increasingly powerful and destructive weapons than ever before. There are still numerous hostilities and conflicts raging throughout the world, which are caused by a variety of reasons. 

People often don't know how to solve such problems in a peaceful way, but rather through aggressive and violent means, because that is the only way they have been exposed to since birth from parents, families, neighbors, friends, community and country.

To this end, Mr. Man Hee Lee initiated peace education for elementary, middle, high school and university students. Through this peace education curriculum, young students, who are the future of our world, will learn to better manage conflict resolution.

Regarding this, Mr. Man Hee Lee said :

"CHILDREN TAKE AFTER THEIR PARENTS AND CONFORM TO THEIR ENVIRONMENT. WHAT FRUITS SHOULD THE TEACHERS GATHER FROM THE STUDENTS? CHILDREN SHOULD LEARN PEACE FROM THEIR HOMES AND SCHOOLS. THEN, OUR NEXT GENERATION WILL INHERENTLY BE BORN AS PEACE MESSENGERS IN AN ENVIRONMENT OF PEACE."

I completely agree with his idea. War, rather than peace, is more familiar and recognizable to us through media, internet, television, literature, gaming etc. However, something must cut this cycle of conflicts. Everyone must know that peace is something that we can make come true, and not something Utopian. 

Peace can be achieved and maintained forever in a world where people will perceive war to be the more strange and absurd thing. If children learn to talk, discuss, negotiate and resolve problems and conflicts in a peaceful way, the world will change into a peaceful one because a 'peaceful resolution' would become the only way for people to work to end the problem.

Teachers must teach children to make peace with others through 'good' dialogue, not with their fists. Then students will become 'natural peace messengers' who will certainly pass 'peace' on to future generations :) No good parent wants their child to be violent and vicious. Therefore, HWPL's peace education is the best way of making a peaceful world :)

Let's look forward to the day when peace will become very common to all people in the world :)

All participants including political leaders, legal and diplomatic experts, educational professionals, religious leaders, journalists and leaders of women's and youth organizations joined the conference to discuss the peace work they had been carrying out and how they can improve peace work in the future.

I truly agree on what he said about the relationship between countries regarding world conflicts. Countries must stop thinking about power and the profits they can gain from other countries, and hostilities. This will lead the world to imminent extinction. Moreover, this gentleman also believes (like myself) that HWPL has a strong power and message to proceed towards world peace.

Greetings! Ladies and gentlemen of the world! :D

The 918 World Peace WARP Summit is 2 days away and will be hosted at Asiade Stadium in Incheon. It will be, perhaps, the largest world peace event with more than 2000 participants from over 100 countries. Many conferences - including press conferences - that involve political leaders, legal, diplomatic and educational experts and leaders of civil organizations will be held from the 16th onwards (Today).

Some of the VVIPs who will participate at the 918 World Peace WARP Summit at Asiade Stadium in Incheon who were asked for their opinions about HWPL and its DPCW by reporters have already left positive remarks. Let's take a look :)

Chairman of HWPL : Mr. Man Hee, Lee

During the 29th Peace Trip in Africa, HWPL's Chairman, Mr. Man Hee Lee, delivered very inspirational speeches in his meetings with many high-level officials in Africa including politicians, legal professionals, religious leaders and leaders of women and youth organizations. 

As the chairman of HWPL, he urged all people to support and to sign the DPCW, which is the only answer for world peace. 

"I asked people to raise their hand if they wanted peace. Then everyone raised their hand"

"How can you pay for the life of people killed in war?"

Chairman Man Hee Lee served in the Korean War as a front-line soldier. He knows what people have felt in war, as much as those in these videos.

"I had seen too many cruel things during the fratricidal (homogeneous) Korean War. I once hugged an enemy, cried and talked with him. Yes, I talked to an enemy soldier while we were hugging each other. We asked, ‘Why do we have to fight this war? Who is this war for?’ How many of you have ever taken part in war? I did - the war where countless people of the same race died. It was an extremely fierce war. 

Therefore, to stop war and to accomplish peace in this world, he has been hosting the 918 WARP (World Alliance of Religions' Peace) Summit since 2014, and also working hard to introduce the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War)

The DPCW consists of 10 articles and 38 clauses that can put an end to all global conflict. Below are its first 4 articles.

I'm certain that the 918 WARP Summit will make people of the world meet each other and discuss how they can achieve world peace. It will also guide them to urge every president, minister, king and leader of the world to support and to sign the DPCW. 

What would happen if every world leader signed not to go to war? I can't wait to see what a peaceful world looks like.

However, it is not only leaders who must make peace, but every person in the world like you and I.
