[HWPL] For the World! For the Future! HWPL's Peace Letter Campaign

[HWPL]

[HWPL] For the World! For the Future! HWPL's Peace Letter Campaign

Since the foundation of HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light. Chairman Man Hee Lee), Chairman Man Hee Lee and HWPL peace advocates have been struggling for world peace and a future of peaceful humanity.

Today HWPL is a peace NGO registered under the United Nations' ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council) and the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs with more than 170 branches and countless affiliates around the world.

In 2016, to carry out a concrete work for world peace, Chairman Man Hee Lee and the HWPL International Law Peace Committee proclaimed the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) with its 10 Articles 38 Clauses - an international law to achieve sustainable peace.

Moreover, to implement the DPCW through the UN general assembly, HWPL and its peace groups (International Women's Peace Group and International Peace Youth Group) began the "Legislate Peace" Project in 2018 to urge every head of state to support the DPCW and spread Peace Culture throughout the world.

Peace Letter campaign is a part of "Legislate Peace" Project that everyone in the world who loves and desires world peace can participate in to leave a world of peace for future generations. It's not hard or complicated work, but actually very simple, and effective.

To write a letter to your head of state, take a sheet of paper and start writing a letter with a pen (or pencil) about why the DPCW is essential and is the answer for world peace, that you want the DPCW to be implemented for peace in your country and the world, and that you absolutely desire peace for the world for future generations - not war and conflict.

Your letter (and letters from everyone around the world) will show heads of state the support for the DPCW from citizens throughout the world, and also help 'continuous communication and cooperation between civil society and the government with the purpose of the implementation of the international law for peace.'

Eventually it will guide people on the path to world peace and a peaceful humanity on the earth :)

So, why don't you grab a piece of paper and start writing Peace Letter for the world and for yourself? :) One letter can make you a hero who saves the world. Let's start it today :)

[HWPL] 2019 HWPL 918 World Peace Summit Live!

[HWPL]

[HWPL] 2019 HWPL 918 World Peace Summit Live!

Last Wednesday, September 18th 2019, was one of the greatest days in history of Korea's peace work. HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) hosted the 2019 HWPL 918 World Peace Summit at Suwon World Cup Stadium (a.k.a. Big Bird) in Suwon, South Korea, with countless participants including HWPL chairman Man Hee Lee and peace advocates from all over the world.

The summit opened with participants' loud cheers and applause and tremendous trumpet sounds from marching bands. All participants welcomed Chairman Man Hee Lee and the general directors of IWPG (International Women's Peace Group) and IPYG (International Peace Youth Group), and peace advocates who are taking the lead in the global peace campaign.

Volunteers for the mass game and card sections displayed HWPL and DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) during their performances, while the stadium's giant electric display board showed the achievements of HWPL's peace initiatives.

Mr. Youngmin Jung, the general director of IPYG

Many prominent people including the general directors of IWPG and IPYG, ex-presidents, politicians and global religious leaders delivered congratulatory speeches for the summit to urge people everywhere.

HWPL 918 World Peace Summit were held at so many cities around the world
Meanwhile, local HWPL 918 World Peace Summit events were held simultaneously in many cities in Korea. Those who participated in these local events also showed their desire for world peace.

One of the most impressive performances was the card section expressing Korean history and the desire for reunification of the Korean peninsula and for world peace. It touched the bottom of so many peoples' hearts, and thousands of cameras were flashing.

A media façade for the reunification of the Korean peninsula and for world peace was displayed, brightening everyone's heart. It really reflected everyone's hope for world peace and strengthened the desire to achieve world peace together.

As I watched the 2019 HWPL 918 World Peace Summit via Youtube, I was so touched that there are countless people out there who really want to pass on a peaceful world to future generations. As more people sign the DPCW and write Peace Letters through HWPL's "Legislate Peace" campaign, I'm sure that the global community will take more steps forward towards world peace :)

Peace!

[Peace news] Youth's Message to the UN "We care about peace"....How about joining IPYG?

[Peace news]

[Peace news] Youth's Message to the UN "We care about peace"....How about joining IPYG?

UN news reported that Security Council meeting Maintenance of international peace and security was hosted on July 17th 2019. Ms. Jayathma Wickramanayake, the Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth, made a few clear points about youth during her speech regarding peace and security.

And, I'd like to emphasize a few main points from her speech.

1. Young people suffer from many things (stereotypes, myths and policies etc.) which harm and hinder their ability to work for peace.

2. Young people are easily framed as "a problem to be solved and a threat to be contained" while they are not actually not involved in violence.

3. Young peacebuilders and human rights advocates are vulnerable to threats, intimidation, violence, arbitrary arrest and retaliation by the State and non-State.

From what I have seen and heard from fellow peace activists and supporters throughout the world, the above 3 points are very true for young people. In this world, youth have to fight ideological, conventional and political problems that lie in their society. Some of them are easily exploited by violent extremists and terrorists for conflicts and wars.

Meanwhile, even though they may desperately want to start and join peace campaigns, doing so is usually restricted to people with political, financial and educational advantage.

Therefore, I want to introduce HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light. Chairman: Mr. Man Hee Lee) and IPYG (International Peace Youth Group) to the world's youth.

Mr. Man Hee Lee's peace organizations have been running a Peace Walk campaign, 'Legislate Peace' campaign and Peace Letter campaign for the enactment of an international law DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War), which is the perfect answer for world peace.

It is not hard to work jointly with IPYG. Youth can visit their official homepage or write hand-written peace letters to their state leader urging them to support the DPCW for world peace. Moreover, they can walk with the peace group together for world peace.

So, what would you do? If you really want world peace, become a peace advocate with HWPL and IPYG :) Let's work for peace so that we can achieve peace :)

Peace!

HWPL reported that the DPCW is already officially supported in a few islands including Antigua and Barbuda. The DPCW has been presented to the UN for implementation as international law for several years.

At the event, Mr. Said Musa delivered a speech, saying :

"I want to pledge my support for adoption of the DPCW which I find to be the most comprehensive legal framework that will serve to spread a zone of peace within the Caribbean region and across the world."

In the middle of the event, delegates resolved to advance the enactment of the DPCW through the Caribbean Community's regional organization, Regional Integration (CARICOM) and Coalition of Caribbean Leaders for Peace, which is a new coalition comprised of Caribbean leaders.

Mr. Edwing Charles, Haiti's Minister of Youth, added:

"The DPCW is an invaluable legacy for future generations"

An HWPL representative said that HWPL has hosted peace tours in Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, Costa Rica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and St. Lucia. Moreover, other Caribbean islands will join to support HWPL and the DPCW.

[IPYG] IPYG Shout for Peace with Youth of Serbia

[IPYG]

[IPYG] IPYG Shout for Peace with Youth of Serbia

IPYG (International Peace Youth Group - an NGO under Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) and Bečejsko Udruženje Mladih co-hosted a Peace Letter campaign and Peace Walk festival to commemorate the 6th Anniversary of the Declaration of Peace from May 16th to 20th at Bačko Gradište and Liberty Square, Bečej, in South Bačka District, Serbia.

IPYG reported that over 700 youth and students from all around Serbia gathered at the Peace Walk festival, urging their head of state to support the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War).

Aleksandar Đekić, president of Bečejsko Udruženje Mladih, who experienced the wars in Croatia and Bosnia as a child, said that IPYG's DPCW drove him to carry out innovative work in society. Moreover, IPYG and his organization co-hosted the event to raise awareness of the DPCW and world peace.

Gordana Adamov, BUM Public Relations, stressed the significance of the Peace Letter campaign, saying :

"...We had a great discussion about Articles in DPCW and think some parts of it are very optimistic when we consider the politics of our president. Now, we realize that even though it seems impossible to get a response from the Serbian president, the best way to be sure of that is to try and to write letters."

I think that more and more people are working together with HWPL for the DPCW to be enacted as international law. This is very obvious given that everyone wants a peaceful world. No one wants war :)

World Peace? Yes We Can!

Peace

[HWPL] HWPL Peace Camp Education in Israel with Israeli and Palestinian students!

[HWPL]

[HWPL] HWPL Peace Camp Education in Israel with Israeli and Palestinian students!

Most people with an interest in international affairs, especially the Middle East, know how 'healthy' (irony intended) the relationship between Israel and Palestine has been since time memorial.

Long-term hatred and violence between these two countries on religious, political and diplomatic grounds has become an infamous issue within the international community. Countless casualties have resulted from major and minor military conflicts, claiming the lives of many innocent victims.

To this end, HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light. Chairman: Mr. Man Hee Lee) has been carrying out its global Peace Education campaign and hosted Peace Camp Education for Israeli and Palestinian students to teach them about peace.

Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL always shouts for world peace, and he works for a world of peace to pass on to future generations. To make it a reality, he emphasises the importance of teaching youth everywhere how to understand and love one another and resolve conflict through dialogue, not with knives and guns.

Mar Elias Institution, Saint John's School and Hope School in Palestine all signed MOAs with HWPL, co-hosting 'HWPL Peace Education Camp: Crossing Border', with 150 faculty leaders and students in attendance.

Mr. Michael Chacour, the executive director of Mar Elias Institution said :

"......I find it the best education to help our kids to accept others, especially in our land. Such events should be held in other countries as well as Israel and Palestine."

To date, HWPL has signed numerous MOUs with ministries of education in the Philippines, Cambodia and Sri-Lanka - to name a few - and with schools and universities across the world (You can find related peace education articles in my blog).

On that day, students and faculty leaders wrote peace letters urging the heads of the 193 world states to support the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War; a new international law drafted by HWPL's International Law Peace Committee to resolve all global conflicts and achieve world peace). The DPCW, with its 10 articles and 38 clauses, will be enacted at the UN.

Mr. Khader S. J. Abuabbara said :

"......This created a culture of peace and planted the spirit of peace in the minds of the students who were entrusted to us..."

Personally, I'm relieved to see Israelis and Palestinians working together to learn about world peace in the midst of the ongoing conflict. To finish my article, I'd like to quote words by Alex, who participated at the peace camp:

"...I had the opportunity to build a good friendship with other students. I believe peace must be part of any work we carry out."

I hope people from all countries everywhere become close friends via HWPL's DPCW and peace campaign :)

Peace!
