[HWPL] HWPL's Press Conference after the 31st World Peace Tour at Incheon Airport

Chairman Man Hee Lee and the peace advocates of HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) recently finished their 31st World Peace Tour in Romania and Eastern Europe for a World Peace Conference in Bucharest. Chairman Lee and these peace advocates discussed 'the role of religion for world peace', 'the way to peaceful reunification of the Korean peninsular' and 'the role of international organizations for world peace' to spur on the global mood of peace, and to spread a culture of peace.

HWPL held a press conference announcing their achievements and results from the 31st World Peace Tour to the press right after their arrival at Incheon Airport in Korea. Chairman Lee started the conference saying, "We accepted their invitation and attended a peace conference in Romania because it was for world peace and cessation of international conflict."

Chairman Lee added :

"Countless people gathered at the event and they all supported the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) with its 10 articles and 38 clauses, as well as the peaceful reunification of the Korean peninsular. People everywhere want world peace and the cessation of all wars."

"Every world citizen should become a messenger of peace for the enactment of the DPCW as international law. Only when war is ceased will peace become a reality. We need an answer for world peace. That is why I suggested the DPCW. If we support the DPCW, we can achieve world peace."

Ms. Hyunsook Yoon, the general director of IWPG (International Women Peace Group), said :

"I'm absolutely certain that the DPCW will solve all women's issues globally, so we will keep urging leaders from every state to support the DPCW. I can see that there are women who can take the lead in pursuit of world peace. I will steadily urge every world leader to support the DPCW."

Since March 14th this year, HWPL has been carrying out its 'Peace Letter Campaign' sending peace letters from citizens everywhere to leaders and UN ambassadors in every country to urge for their support of the DPCW and its enactment at the UN. HWPL's campaign is helping the world achieve peace and the cessation of violent conflict that transcends age, sex, nationality, religion and race.

Chairman Man Hee Lee said :

"There should no longer be victims of war in our world. In the face of this reality, should we just stand still and do nothing?...When we advocate for peace to our national leaders, they will become peace advocates. But those who do not listen to their people will become opponents of peace."

HWPL reported that IPYG (International Peace Youth Group; a sub-group of HWPL) has collected and sent over 200,000 peace letters to heads of states. Mr. Young Min Chung, general director of IPYG, said that their goal is to submit the DPCW to the UN General Assembly for its ratification and for the peaceful reunification of Korea.

[Peace News] Peace Letter Campaign On the Air 2

In my previous article, I showed you news broadcasts from North-America (I hope you enjoyed them). Today I bring you online newspaper articles from the Philippines. The Philippines is one of the countries which most eagerly wants to achieve peace due to its prolonged civil war in the Mindanao Islands, actively working with HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) and its chairman, Man Hee Lee.

Let's cut the chit-chat and take a look :)

Most of the press in the Philippines covered HWPL's campaign, achievements and on-going initiatives through chairman Man Hee Lee and its peace advocates through on-line & off-line newspaper broadcasts. They reported about HWPL's history, campaigns and goal for this year, which is the enactment of the DPCW at the UN's General Assembly this September.

I thank all the press and reporters who deliver the news of world peace!

Previous articles regarding 'Peace Letter Campaign'

HWPL's (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) Peace Letter campaign was carried out globally at every HWPL branch (including IWPG and IPYG). All citizens who want world peace wrote peace letters to the leaders of every nation and to U.N. ambassadors urging for their support of the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) to be signed at the UN General Assembly in September.

Many press covered the campaign and reported it on-air. Today I have brought you clips from some of the North-American press :)

The peace letter campaign was also reported through 27 newspapers. In particular, newspapers covered IPYG's (International Peace Youth Group) peace letter to Mr. Trump (current US president).

I will be back soon with more good news from the world :)

Let's see what they have written in the peace letter :)

INTERNATIONAL PEACE YOUTH GROUP
An Open Letter to the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump

Dear Mr. President,

We are the youth of America

At such a crucial time within our nation’s history, we are urging your support for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW), a ground breaking peace law that many global leaders and heads of state are diligently working to have adopted by the UN General Assembly. It offers a legal framework for peaceful conflict resolution, the preservation of natural habitats, and the freedom of religion for all people. These causes align with American values and the hearts of American youth who truly desire a world without war and conflict. The DPCW protects what Americans deeply cherish, such as freedom and advancing peace around the world.

We believe that the work of peace is an inherent calling for every individual. As the acting President of the United States, your voice and support are a critical part of building a foundation of peace for future generations both here and abroad.

We sincerely hope that you will join our efforts by supporting the DPCW when it is introduced to the UN General Assembly. Many heads of state have already pledged their written support because they desire to end war and conflict. If we truly desire peace and love our country, how could we not support such a legislative solution to achieving peace together?

We request your reply and thank you for your service to our nation, Mr. President.

Most respectfully
International Peace Youth Group
United States Branch

A CALL TO IMPLEMENT THE DPCW
WWW.IPYG.KR

As a member of HWPL Supporters One, I also wrote a peace letter to the president of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and People's Republic of Korea (North Korea), as did the members of HWPL in the US. It is wonderful and encouraging to see that the whole world wants to achieve world peace.

Mr. Donald J. Trump. Current president of the U.S.A.

I really hope every world leader who receives the peace letter will reply with the answer,

"I officially support DPCW, I will definitely sign it at the U.N."

[HWPL] The World in Conflicts and Violence, and HWPL's DPCW

Since the beginning of the world, humanity has not stopped engaging in conflict and war in our small planet. They have fought over territories, resources, honor, power, money, treasure, people, ideologies and religion.

Whatever the reason, violence and force has given birth to more wars and conflicts in history. Although some people may insist that technologies and skills used in war have contributed to the development of humanity, the truth is that humanity has suffered atrocities, cruelty and deaths of loved ones, one after the other.

I want to ask people who argue that war is necessary:

"Who is war for? Especially when it kills your loved ones and destroys their future?"

Europe has been the battlefield for many countries and leaders who wanted power and religious authority. Now it has become a place with conflicts and terrorism resulting from conflict between Muslim and Christian cultures.

People mourned for the victims of the Attack in Paris, 2015

How about South-East Asia? Religious war and conflicts have murdered numerous people since the 20th century in the so-called name of 'God', and border conflicts between many countries still continue.

Border conflicts between India, Pakistan and China

It's not very surprising to hear of gunfire accidents, homicides and massacres in the Americas (North, Middle and South) committed by citizens, gangs, cartels and rebels.

American soldiers in the Mexican Drug War

Revolutionary soldiers in Colombia

Meanwhile, Africans have been waging tribal wars against each other for power and territory. Still, sadly, tribal wars have not disappeared and it looks like they won't end until they get rid of everyone in the African continent.

Soldiers in Central Africa

Female soldiers in South Sudan

Finally, the Korean peninsula - the only divided country which was once a country - is divided by ideologies and foreign powers who wanted to paint the land with their own 'color'. The Korean War massacred countless Koreans and foreign soldiers have left an incurable scar on Korean history.

Demilitarized Zone in the middle of the Korean peninsula

North Korean and U.S.A soldiers in Joint Security Area of Panmunjeom of DMZ

Then, I want to ask why we have to confront and fight one another? What is this war and conflict for? I want to ask you again:

"Who is the war for? When it kills your loved ones and the future?"

"Who is war for? Especially when it kills your loved ones and destroys their future?"

Don't you dare think 'It is not my problem' and 'There is no such war or conflict in my region (e.g. Oceania)', because both small and large-scale conflicts always happen around us. These conflicts begin small before they gradually turn into huge ones. People fight because they don't know how to resolve them in a peaceful way. They didn't learn it in school because no one ever taught it systematically in world history. There has been no law for international conflicts and war (Yes, there were some declarations made by the U.N. to decrease war and conflicts but they are still here in our planet).

Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL (Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light)
So, that is why Mr. Man Hee Lee of HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) initiated the peace advocate and DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) concept. You may ask 'Who is he? And what is the DPCW?'

HWPL, along with its sub-organizations (IWPG: International Women's Peace Group, IPYG: International Peace Youth Group), all work together for world peace to protect humanity from war and extinction
Mr. Man Hee Lee, an 89-year-old Korean War veteran who had experienced the severity and cruelty of war, founded HWPL and its sub-groups for the purpose of making world peace. HWPL and its chairman Man Hee Lee have been successfully carrying out their ‘Legislate Peace’ campaign globally to enact the new international law DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War), which is the only answer for world peace.
DPCW is consisted of 10 articles and 38 clauses that made by prominent global international law experts and human rights activists with Mr. Man Hee Lee. DPCW's articles are very effective and practical, some of them are :

Article 1 - Prohibition of threat or use of force

Article 2- Reduce war potential and re-purpose weapons to benefit humanity

Article 6 - Settle international disputes through peaceful means

Article 9 - Promote peaceful coexistence amongst religious and ethnic groups

Article 10 - Spread a culture of peace

Chairman Man Hee Lee, the peace advocates, political leaders, law experts, peace and human rights activists, leaders of NGOs and citizens who love world peace and eagerly desire world peace are all working hard and supporting the DPCW for enactment at the UN to be signed as a legally-binding international law.

To enact the DPCW across the world and to achieve world peace, we need the support and signatures from leaders of every world state. So Chairman Man Hee Lee has been hosting and meeting many people. Why? To spread and inform them about the DPCW. What is the result? So many countries and groups still want to sign MOUs with HWPL and some countries have already officially declared their support towards the DPCW.

The 2nd anniversary of DPCW peace conference

Now Chairman Man Hee Lee and DPCW will host 'the 3rd Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War - Civil Society's Role for Peaceful Unification of the Korean Peninsula' on the 14th March.

HWPL and its participants will give speeches about why we need the DPCW and its impact in the world, and how they can implement the DPCW through the UN with support from world leaders.

If you want world peace for the benefit of humanity, and want to contribute - even in a small way - Come! Watch the 3rd Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War and become a peace advocate! You can be a global hero too!
