[IPYG] IPYG's Peace Event in Australia!

Chairman ManHee Lee is the head representative of the global peace organization HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light), which is striving for the enactment and implementation of the international peace law 'Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW)'. The  DPCW is a legal instrument comprised of 10 articles and 38 clauses that can end wars and hostilities throughout the world. HWPL is also spreading a culture of peace and implementing peace education.

Chairman ManHee Lee experienced the cruelty and tragedy of war as a veteran of the Korean War. This is one of the reasons why he founded a global peace campaign as the head of HWPL. He has traveled the globe more than 35 times to meet and persuade politicians, legal experts, journalists, professors, peace activists, civil organization leaders, heads of tribes and others to unite them for the work of peace. The significant fruits borne out of his hard work are the World Alliance of Religions' Peace (WARP) Summit and HWPL Peace Committee. The DPCW was drafted and finalised by the HWPL Peace Committee.

How, you may wonder, do I know this? About 10 years ago, when I had just been discharged from military service, I came to know HWPL and Chairman ManHee Lee while researching the topic of civil conflicts to satisfy my curiosity in ongoing global issues. At that time, the island of Mindanao in the Philippines was suffering from a major civil conflict that lasted more than 40 years, and Chairman ManHee Lee and HWPL resolved this conflict through non-violent means.

Chairman Lee brought an end to the conflict in Mindanao by holding a peace talk between the warring Catholic and Islamic groups. Before the talk, HWPL and Chairman ManHee Lee held a Peace Walk to spread the culture of peace in Mindanao with the many locals who had gathered out of a desire for peace.

Chairman ManHee Lee's pressing appeal today is that humanity unites for sustainable peace in order to pass on the legacy of peace to future generations worldwide. He doesn't just talk peace, but has worked tirelessly for it through practical peace campaigns for over a decade.

I decided to become a supporter of HWPL and Chairman ManHee Lee's peace initiatives because I also desire a world of peace for all posterity.

Today I'd like to introduce an article regarding IPYG's (International Peace Youth Group, the youth affiliate of HWPL) peace event in Australia :)

IPYG Australia branch spreads a culture of peace to underprivileged people in the Brisbane community.

Providing free food to socially vulnerable groups

Last December, the IPYG Australian branch collaborated with Community Friends organization in the Brisbane City to conduct volunteer activities providing free food and clothing to those in need at Bunyapa Park in West End, Brisbane City.

The IPYG Australian branch initiated volunteer work to disseminate a culture of peace to neighbors and marginalized individuals within the community. They had a meeting with Mr. Mark McDonnell, Managing Director of Community Friends, an organization actively addressing the needs of people facing hardship and homelessness due to housing shortages in Brisbane. Community Friends regularly distributes food to those struggling financially and offers various forms of support to individuals experiencing homelessness.

During the recent volunteer activity, the IPYG Australian branch, alongside Community Friends, prepared food to distribute to the homeless and facilitated dialogue sessions to strengthen community networks for people with multi-national backgrounds to have social cohesion. Participants engaged in conversations aimed at fostering understanding and solidarity among individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Through these interactions, words of comfort and warmth were shared, contributing to the sense of unity and community cohesion.

Moving forward, the IPYG Australian branch plans to continue collaborating with various local organizations to conduct diverse volunteer activities aimed at spreading a culture of peace to marginalized youth and citizens within the community.

HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light. The chairman: Mr. Man Hee Lee) has been working for world peace since its foundation in 2013. It has two sub-groups, which are IWPG (International Women's Peace Group) and IPYG (International Peace Youth Group) which work with many people and NGOs around the world.

Mr. Man Hee Lee, an 89-year-old Korean War veteran who had experienced the severity and cruelty of war, founded HWPL and its sub-groups for the purpose of making world peace. HWPL and its chairman Man Hee Lee have been successfully carrying out its ‘Legislate Peace’ campaign globally to enact the new international law DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War), which is the only answer for world peace. HWPL and Mr. Man Hee Lee also completed their (27th, 28th and 29th) World Peace Tour 3 times last year with fantastic results.

Mr. Man Hee Lee and IWPG want to end wars that kill children and violate women’s human rights. There must be something that protects women and their children in future generations. To do that, all world leaders must sign the DPCW to achieve world peace. Then, let's briefly see why the DPCW is the only answer to ending wars.

It consists of 10 articles and 38 clauses to effectively cease any violent military injustices, and spreads the culture of peace throughout the world.

To support the DPCW, IWPG has been carrying out many initiatives to harness the power of 3.6 billion women to make one voice such as peace education, cooperation among women, empowerment of women's rights etc.

IWPG hosted the peace conference in Australia for the same reasons given above, but it needs more women to work with for women's rights and to help take the lead with HWPL and Mr. Man Hee Lee for the world peace campaign. The greater the peace messengers, the faster the fulfillment of its goals for world peace :)

Chairman Mr. Man Hee Lee argues that youth (young adults) are victims who lose their lives at the front-lines of war. Politicians and religious leaders are the ones who cause war and conflict, but young adults are the ones who sacrifice their lives. However, no one can compensate for their loss. Who and what can pay for a life that was robbed of its opportunity to bloom?

So, Chairman Lee founded IPYG to protect youth everywhere from war. IPYG (International Peace Youth Group) is a global peace group for the youth.

IPYG has been carrying out many global initiatives such as the Peace Letter Campaign, Legislate Peace Campaign, 525 Peace Walk Campaign etc. It works alongside many people beyond religion, race, country etc.

One of IPYG's main initiatives is the Peace Letter Campaign. Participants of the campaign write a letter to world leaders to urge them to support the DPCW (Declaration of Peace Cessation of War) which is the only resolution to stop casualties and fatalities among young adults caused by war and conflict.

Actually, participants of the event had time to write a letter to world leaders to urge them to support and sign the DPCW at the UN :)

As Mr. Man Hee Lee said in today’s speech, world peace can be achieved when all people become one. We have to know that we all have the responsibility of keeping our future generations and planet at peace; not for other motives but for ourselves and for our children :)
