[HWPL] Peace Camp and Peace Education in Ivory Coast and Mali: the Best Education in the World Today

HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light; Chairman Man Hee Lee) has been carrying out Peace Education globally to create a world of permanent and sustainable peace. The purpose of Peace Education is to teach students and children about key values including Love, Respect, Understanding, Tolerance and Non-violence.

From December 9th-23rd, HWPL hosted 'The HWPL Peace Camp' at seven schools in Ivory Coast and Mali. Those countries are located in the Sahel zone of West Africa, which has fallen victim to hostile conflicts between the French army and extremist Islamic factions.

The HWPL Peace Camp delivered the message 'Peace and Safety, Respect and Cooperation' to students who will become future leaders in conflict resolution and security within their respective countries.

The HWPL Peace Camp incorporated three topics for Ivory Coast and Mali, which included 'Peace and I', 'Peace that You and I make together' and 'Peace we make together'. These topics educated students on how to become advocates of peace who can pass peace on to their communities, societies and countries. The camp also included a 'Practical Education Program' that taught students the causes and solutions to conflict, and their implementation, in real life. This program was very popular to students and educators who participated in the event.

Moreover, the Cote d'Ivoire National Commission for UNESCO - comprised of officials and educators - together with the government of Mali had a discussion with education officials from HWPL's Peace Education to continue in the implementation of the Peace Education program in their countries.

All participants agreed that, through the HWPL Peace Camp, they gained a clear understanding of peace.

Rianna and Etan, students at the International English School of Abidjan in Ivory Coast, said:
"After we received peace education, we came to realize how important it was", adding, "I will be a person who shares love and affection with those around me in order to practice peace."

Peace Educator Asana said : "If everyone had received peace education in the past, the number of wars taking place in the world today would be much less. People don't understand why peace is needed, but everyone should learn about peace basically as it grows all over the world."

Children in the Ivory Coast and Mali will surely become great leaders of peace through HWPL's Peace Education. HWPL wishes for everyone in the world to cherish the value of world peace for a peaceful world :)

Peace!

[Food] Raw Amberjack, Best Winter Fish (ë°©ì–´, Bahng-Uh)

[Food] Raw Amberjack, Best Winter Fish (ë°©ì–´, Bahng-Uh)

The Korean Peninsular is surrounded by three seas (the west, south and east) and due to this geological influence, Koreans eat many kinds of fish like other countries on the peninsular. I've introduced mackerel and oyster so far, and today I want to show you 'Bang-Uh (ë°©ì–´ in Korean)' which is ‘Japanese Amberjack’ in English.

Raw Amberjack Fillet
Amberjack is a pelagic fish which is distributed in Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Hawaii. It lives in warm seawaters and travels from Korea to Hawaii like tuna (and looks like tuna). One of the characteristics of pelagic fish is that they store a lot of fat to regulate their body temperature in the cold sea water. And, it makes amberjack so delicious in the winter season. So amberjack is a typical winter fish in Korea. The Korean proverb says 'Even a dog doesn't eat amberjack in summer'. Amberjack is very popular among the Korean and Japanese in winter.

'Even a dog doesn't eat amberjack in summer' because it keeps much less fat compared to the winter. Actually amberjack is very cheap in summer because people usually eat it in winter for its savory fatty flesh.

In winter, like tuna, the white amberjack  flesh has a very savory fatty taste (which is great) with its firm and chewy red flesh. Amberjack is caught in the East Sea and the South Sea of the Korean peninsular. Jeju Island is a typical place for amberjack and its dish. Delicious fat is the main characteristic of amberjack, so Koreans and Japanese love it as raw or roasted fillet and some people say it tastes better than raw tuna.

Roasted amberjack head

When amberjack's backbone is boiled in water, it gives a taste like beef broth. Its intestines - especially stomach and liver - is gourmet. Amberjack's stomach and liver tastes like chicken when it's washed and roasted. Deep-fried amberjack fillet is great too. Remove the moist and it’s blood, marinate it with salt then toss it into hot oil to deep-fry :)

To taste the best amberjack, bring 3-4 people to a seafood market and pick an amberjack which is longer than 60cm and weighs more than 10kg. Please note that yellow amberjack is different from japanese amberjack :) I recommend you eat japanese amberjack because it tastes better XD

[IPYG] IPYG's the 1st Youth Empowerment Project in South Sudan for the 1st time

IPYG (International Peace Youth Group; Chairman Man Hee Lee) has been carrying out peace initiatives with HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light; Chairman Man Hee Lee) since its foundation in 2014. One of its main initiatives is Peace Education, which teaches about 'sustainable peace' to young children and students for future generations. Peace Education promotes a heart of understanding, tolerance and resolving conflict and wars in non-violent ways permanently.

On December 16th 2019, IPYG and Junub Open Space (JunubOS) co-hosted 'The 1st IPYG Youth Peace Empowerment Project' at Janub Open Space office in Juba, South Sudan with 34 participants consisting of teachers and students from Victory Secondary School.

According to IPYG, the IPYG Youth Peace Empowerment Project has 11 chapters that teaches students and young people about values such as harmony and co-existence through farming. Moreover, the project provides basic agricultural and historical knowledge to students who can't afford to go to school.

Through the lifecycle of maize, participants learned how to better treat and love each other, and make peace in their community. They also responded that if teachers can join in the project and provide it at school, it will make greater achievements and results.

IPYG hopes to carry out the project in five schools in South Sudan this year, and also hopes for the project to be adopted within educational materials throughout Africa.

Peace!

[HWPL] The Best Way to Religious Peace - WARP Office Meeting Interfaith Dialogue

[HWPL]

[HWPL] The Best Way to Religious Peace - WARP Office Meeting Interfaith Dialogue

WARP (World Alliance of Religions' Peace) Office  Interfaith Dialogue is one of the main initiatives of the global peace group HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light; Chairman Man Hee Lee).

It was established in 2014 to find proper religious values for peace-building through dialogue of religious scriptures. HWPL invites prominent religious leaders to meetings to discuss religious topics for better mutual understanding and to share thoughts about achieving world peace.

Religion is used as the main cause of today's global conflicts and wars. Many religious leaders are critical of many people who interpret the scripture to suit their own thoughts and ideologies irrespective of the true meaning of their scripture and will of God. They warn that this is what leads to religious extremism that causes global terrorism, violence, conflicts and war.

Mr. Tharwat Gaid Salama Gaballa, Chairman of Horus Foundation for Development and Training in Egypt said :
"....religion does call for peace among peoples. The seed of peace is possible with this desire and with this longing to change the world.....The common objectives that all religious scriptures pursue are the realization of peace and justice, conflict resolution, human dignity, and valuing diversity."

Then what should religious and NGO leaders do together with HWPL and its WARP Office Interfaith Dialogue? NGOs have to carry out campaigns that remove and discourage extremism and religiously and racially-motivated discrimination. Scholars and religious leaders must spread true religious knowledge to lead people to world peace.

Swami Veetamohananda, Swami (religious Hindu leader) of Ramakrishna Veda center said :
"In order to find the truth all the humanity wants religious leaders need to put away the thoughts that only my religion is the best and do the comparative work based on Scripture without dividing themselves and saying 'your religion', 'my religion.'"

HWPL's WARP Office Meeting has been hosted in 220 locations across 130 countries. Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL said :
"The culture of the earth cannot be compared with that of heaven according to man’s yardstick of judgment. Religion is about learning the things of the spirit and the teachings of God. This is heavenly culture that can guide us to a world of peace. Through the WARP offices, religious leaders bring their scriptures to examine and find the most trustworthy evidence. Religions must unite under one true teaching and scripture. When we continue to carry out these comparisons, there will be no more wars triggered by religion."
Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL
Getting rid of prejudice, stubbornness, misconceptions, misinterpretations and pride through an understanding and discussion of true religious knowledge is the way to religious peace and world peace. For this purpose, HWPL's WARP Office Meeting develops and expands networks and channels of communication between global religious leaders.

Dr. Ahmed Jasem Hmood Al-Maliky, Sheikh of Office of the Religious Reference Sheikh Mohammad Al Yaqoobi in Iraq said :
"Starting by taking out the prejudice that I am right and you are wrong, let us communicate and interact with each other with these questions in mind: ‘Is what I know always right? Is the other religion always wrong? Or is there something in that religion that mine doesn't have?’ Let us find the best truth and achieve the ultimate value of peace"

Peace!
