[HWPL] HWPL Peace Education Hosted Throughout Europe

HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light; Chairman Man Hee Lee) carries out Peace Education as one of its main peace initiatives. Peace Education teaches young children and students to understand one another and resolve conflict and misunderstandings without the use of violence but through peaceful methods transcending race, gender, religion and ideology. This means that world peace will be achieved and maintained by future generations who learn this Peace Education.

HWPL has been working for the introduction of the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) with its 10 Articles and 38 Clauses that was drafted by HWPL's Peace Law Committee for the sake of world peace. Peace Education plays a crucial role in the DPCW and HWPL's peace initiatives.

Two schools in Targu Mures, Romania - Scoala Gimnaziala Dr. Bernady Gyorgy and Liceul Technologic Gheorghe Sincai - hosted HWPL Peace Education cultural exchange programs for students on December 5th.

Moreover, on November 28th and 29th, Scoala Generala #195 Hamburg school in Bucharest, Romania, also held Peace Education. Peace education helps students realize the importance of peace and think of what they can do for peace. Students discussed peace and ways of understanding others.

The schools signed an MOU with HWPL and will keep participating in the Peace Education program. They are planning to carry out the program regularly in the future.

[HWPL] HWPL Hosted its 14th WARP Office Interfaith Dialogue in Wonju

[HWPL] HWPL Hosted its 14th WARP Office Interfaith Dialogue in Wonju

'제 14회 종교인 대화의 광장' 토론회 개최...HWPL 강원지부 주관 / Reporter Minho Park / 선데이뉴스(Sunday News) / Republic of Korea

Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL - Chairman: Man Hee Lee) hosted its 14th WARP (World Alliance of Religions' Peace) Office Interfaith Dialogue at its WARP Office Wonju branch. More than 40 people, including a panel of representatives from  Shincheonji Church of Jesus, an ecumenical church and the Unification Church participated in the event. The panel discussed ▲1. How did the war between good and evil happen in each era? ▲2. How will Jesus return to the world in the end times? What is the path of the Second Coming?

For the first topic, each panel answered the question in turn. The pastor from the ecumenical church answered, "The war between good and evil began when Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. Since then, good and evil have been at war in every era. Today we have to differentiate between good and evil and believe in Jesus Christ to go to heaven." The panel from the Unification Church said, "The history of mankind is the history of war. This is an ideological war and it will be completed when good defeats war. War will end when  all mankind is saved and we create a peaceful world." However, the panel from Shincheonji Church of Jesus answered, "This is a war between God and His enemy, and the Bible talks about a spiritual war, which is a 'war of doctrine'. God has been in an ongoing war against Satan to purify the world of sin. God is at war with Satan to heal the world."

WARP Office Interfaith Dialogue
For the second topic, the pastor from the ecumenical church claimed, "Jesus Christ has already come into our hearts. We have to serve the God of the Bible, who is the Holy Spirit." The pastor from the Unification Church insisted "Jesus Christ had already come to Korea from 1917 to 1930."

In contrast, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus panel answered, "According to 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 verses 1-3, Jesus said that he would come back to the world after 'the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.' Believers today must clearly know what these verses mean."

WARP Office Interfaith Dialogue
After the discussion, audience members said, "It is impressive to see panels not in criticism of one another but freely sharing their beliefs" and "It was a great opportunity to listen to the doctrines of so-called 'cult' churches. I hope that the religious circles work together and understand one another without misunderstandinh."

Currently, HWPL's WARP Office has 170 branches globally and is carrying out its WARP Office Interfaith Dialogue for peace among religions.

[IPYG] IPYG Launches Youth Ethnic Sports for the World Peace in Sydney

International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) has been working for world peace through its many branches around the world. IPYG is a subgroup of HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light. Chairman Man Hee Lee) which is taking the lead in its global "Legislate Peace" campaign and other such initiatives including Peace Education.

On July 6th 2019, IPYG held its first sports event as it launched 'Youth Ethnic Sports (Y.E.S) for Peace' program in Sydney to provide a platform for youth to enhance global contact within their community and work towards a more harmonious society with better understanding of different cultures.

IPYG's Youth Ethnic Sports for Peace program also offers a short peace education that teaches the value of peace, and methods of recognizing, resolving and preventing conflicts to prioritize peace over conflict.

HWPL's official homepage reported that a group of over 20 high school and university students gathered at the Fairfield Youth and Community Center on July 6th to play a friendly soccer tournament and learn about peace.

Through the Y.E.S (Youth Ethnic Sports for Peace) program, HWPL aims to encourage and develop a culture of peace which leads to peaceful resolution of conflicts and hostilities, and eventually creates world peace through the creation and establishment of peace within the family and every community. This is the beginning of achieving world peace.

After the tournament, all participants watched an IPYG video and listened to a short speech by Mrs. Tahera Jehanbeen, founder of Afghan Professionals Group, who appreciated and praised participants for their work towards peace.

[HWPL] The 7th WARP Office Interfaith Dialogue in Suwon

[HWPL]

[HWPL] The 7th WARP Office Interfaith Dialogue in Suwon

HWPL WARP Office's Interfaith Dialogue

HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light; Chairman Man Hee Lee) Southern Seoul and Gyeonggi province branch hosted 'The 7th WARP Office Interfaith Dialogue in Suwon' on Oct. 10th 2019.

HWPL is a global peace NGO under the UN's ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council) which has been carrying out its global "Legislate Peace" campaign for implementation of the international law 'DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War)', with its 10 articles and 38 clauses, for world peace. WARP (World Alliance of Religions' Peace) Office is one of "Legislate Peace" campaign's main initiatives that promotes peaceful discussion and understanding among religions of the world.

The topics for discussion were :

1. Does your scripture have a record of a peaceful world? If it does, how is it described and where is it? If it does not, how would you describe a 'peaceful world'?

2. To achieve world peace, what role do you think you should play?

HWPL WARP Office's Interfaith Dialogue
Mr. Jaeman Lee, a teacher of Jeung San Do, said:
"Every culture and religion will be united and a united Korea will be established in the Korean peninsula. There will be no aging, pain or death. Paradise will be created on earth and humans will assume the role of a parent taking care of the earth."

Mr. Junghan Kim, a Christian pastor, said:
"Achieving world peace is being united under the word of God. When we discuss with open hearts and tolerance, we can make a peaceful world without war. Truly religious people must participate in discussions like the WARP Office and must seek the way to world peace and the scripture that can best achieve world peace. Religious leaders have to struggle to become messengers of peace."

Currently, HWPL's WARP Office has 170 branches globally and is carrying out WARP Office Interfaith Dialogue for peace among religions.

[IPYG] Soccer Match for Peace in Melbourne, IPYG & UMMA

Members of IPYG and UMMA
July 13th, IPYG (International Peace Youth Group) and UMMA (United Muslim Migrants Association) hosted a friendly soccer game at UMMA sports hall center in Doncaster, Melbourne, Australia.

IPYG and UMMA have been working together for WARP (World Alliance of Religions' Peace) Office's interfaith dialogue for understanding and conflict resolution between religions, which forms part of the "Legislate Peace" project of HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light). Imam Muddasser Dhedy of the UMMA center participated in the interfaith dialogue two hours before the soccer game as a Muslim representative on the panel.

The Peace Soccer event was initiated by IPYG to raise awareness of peace for young adults in Melbourne so they can work together to build peace for the future.

IPYG and UMMA members took some time to learn about Islam's doctrines and the value of the Muslim faith. The Imam and UMMA youth representatives thanked IPYG members for visiting the UMMA center to listen to the teachings of Islam and for taking the time to promote harmony and peace in their community.

They played in a mixed team of 8-10 from UMMA and IPYG for 90 minutes. After playing soccer and learning Islam's teachings, hungry IPYG and UMMA members ate pizza together with laughter and chit-chat.

IPYG hopes all organizations, communities and religions will work together with them for world peace.

Peace!
