HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light; Chairman Man Hee Lee) hosted an online inter-continental peace conference for peace education with over 2400 pre-registered participants from 70 countries including the Philippines, the U.S.A, Germany, South Africa, China and Republic of Korea under the title, 'Role of Peace Education in Building a Peaceful World' to celebrate the 7th Anniversary of the January 24th HWPL Peace Day.

The conference was held to increase awareness of peace education around the world and provide a platform for peace educators to practice peace education within the educational systems of their respective countries.

Inter-continental Conference for Culture of Peace through Education Will Be Held Online | The Change 24

HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace  Restoration of Light; Chairman Man Hee Lee) will hold an inter-continental online peace conference on January 24th 2021 with about 2,000 participants from 17 countries including the Philippines, India, Australia and South Korea.

The conference is to commemorate the 7th Anniversary of the January 24th HWPL Peace Day, which was designated by the Province of Maguindanao in the Philippines, to celebrate the peace agreement in Mindanao on January 24th 2014. The agreement was drafted by Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL and signed by government, religious and civil society leaders to achieve peace after the end of a long religious conflict.

It will be held under the title, "The Role of Peace Education in Building a Peaceful World". Falling on the same day as International Day of Education, the conference seeks to found a global platform for peace educators who want to practice peace education within the educational system of each country.

[Cheonji Ilbo = Reporter Kang Soo-kyung] Gapyeong Peace Institute is used as a venue for dinners, meetings, and various educational events attended by both domestic and foreign guests at major events held by the Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL, CEO Man-Hee Lee).

Political leaders from all over the world, civic groups such as women and youth, and 200,000 people from other religions and the media participated, and since September 2014, when the HWPL World Peace Summit first started, various meetings have been held here. Religious scripture comparison discussions, meetings with religious people, and peace education training were held in a 120-seat auditorium equipped with a broadcasting room, and meetings with personnel were held on the third floor of the training center.

According to officials, official events were held 10 to 20 times a year, including 48 times from September to December 2014. In addition, it has been steadily used as a place for peace education for students from different countries to learn about HWPL's peace culture. When tangible results emerged through various discussions, an event was also held to inform them.

One of the representative events is the Goseong Peace Conference held on September 16, 2018. It was a meeting of peace talks between HWPL and the “Baltic Black Sea Council,” composed of heads of Eastern European countries, to discuss solutions to peace in the global village.

This was also the fruit of the peace movement that the heads of Eastern European countries and HWPL, who were impressed by attending the 2014 HWPL World Peace Summit after establishing a relationship with HWPL, have been fruitful through exchange and sympathy for over four years. At this meeting, a “joint agreement” between HWPL and the Baltic Black Sea Board was announced.

The “Baltic Black Sea Council” is an organization established to respond to conflicts and threats arising in the Baltic Black Sea region, and is composed of former and incumbent presidents of Ukraine, Poland, Estonia, Bulgaria and Romania. At the peace talks, including HWPL President Man-hee Lee, former Romanian President Emil Constantinescu of the Baltic Black Sea Council, former President of Moldova Petru Luchinsci, former Chief of Belarusian Supreme Council Stenislav Shshkevich, and former Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko The former president and others attended.

Two members from HWPL's affiliated organizations World Women's Peace Group (IWPG) and International Youth Peace Group (IPYG) also attended.

In this agreement, the two organizations shared the recognition of the importance of an approach based on common cooperation in order to end disputes around the world and peace, which is the top priority as partners in peace initiatives. In addition, in the agreement, the two groups will cooperate to maintain peace not only in the Korean Peninsula and the Baltic Black Sea region, but also around the world.

Irina Bereshchuk, Chairman of the Baltic Black Sea Forum, said, “HWPL and the Baltic Black Sea Council held this peace talk to agree on peace and ending war on the Korean Peninsula and the Baltic Black Sea. We decided to carry out peace education to settle the culture of peace while handing over the earth to future generations,” he expressed positive support.

Voice of Peace PH held an online event to celebrate World Teacher's Day and encourage volunteer teachers about peace education last October.

Voice of Peace PH was founded by HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light; Chairman Man Hee Lee), which is a global peace organization, to spread peace culture through peace education.

Students paid honor and showed their thankfulness to their teachers of peace through special presentations, video messages and songs.

Zakiya Jayle Razo, a 6th grade student, participated in the event, saying, "We want you to know that your impact on our lives will not end at the end of the 12th lesson. That way, we will continue to spread our wings as messengers of peace".

HWPL Peace Education consists of 12 lessons about love, forgiveness, compassion, understanding and respect for the elderly.

According to Karen Kim, Director of HWPL's Peace Education at the Southern Seoul Branch, Voice of Peace PH is going to open another branch in The Philippines in January 2021.

Voice of Peace PH expects that they will keep spreading peace culture to more young people through HWPL's Peace Education.

HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light; Chairman Man Hee Lee), a non-governmental organization affiliated with the United Nations Economic and Social Council which has been working for world peace through many peace initiatives since 2012, hosted "Creating the Infrastructure for Peace: Virtual Gathering of Leaders from Caribbean and the Americas" on October 29, 2020. It was hosted as a virtual peace forum (mass online meeting) with many VIPs from countries in the Caribbean and the Americas.

Justina Mills (Ministry of Education, Dominica), Phillip Rolle (Deputy Speaker of the Dominica Parliament, Dominica), Alando Terrelonge (Minister of State, Jamaica), Keisha Tomlinson (President of Jamaica UNESCO), Bosco Castillo (Minister of Youth, Nicaragua) and more former and present politicians, diplomats, law and education experts and leaders of NGOs participated in the event.


Participants discussed and focused on the economic value of peace, the implementation of peace legislation at national level, the impact of gender-based violence and domestic violence on women in the Caribbean by International Women's Peace Group, preparing educators for the new generation of students and the importance of youth being global citizens in a globalized world by International Peace Youth Group.

HWPL and its participants resolved to keep working jointly to construct a peaceful international society.

HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light; Chairman Man Hee Lee) and its peace groups (International Women's Peace Group and International Peace Youth Group) have been conducting practical peace initiatives since 2012 alongside countless VIPs and citizens from all over the world. COVID-19 has struck the world so hard, inflicting great suffering, but HWPL, Chairman Man Hee Lee and its peace ambassadors have not stopped working for world peace.

Politicians, religious leaders, heads of NGOs, education and law professionals and everyday citizens have worked with HWPL and participated in its peace initiatives. HWPL is now acknowledged by citizens throughout the world.

Журнал Business Woman (one of Ukraine's major magazines) interviewed some VIPs who have collaborated and participated in major events organised by HWPL and its peace groups, and have praised HWPL for their commendable peace efforts.

HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light; Chairman Man Hee Lee) hosted a World Interfaith Joint Prayer Conference online to spread a message of hope to people and religious communities throughout the world to fight COVID-19 and for the continuation of peace work by global religious communities.

More than 800 people including leaders and VIPs from religious groups, civil society and youth from 3 continents participated in the conference.

Countless media reported news about the rally. The following are just a few examples.












Nirmaljit Singh, a Sikh religious minister from England, delivered a message, saying, “I have worked with HWPL for three years. I have attended the WARP office meeting several times. It gave me chances to share my views according to my religion and traditions. I think the HWPL prayer conference will provide a platform for every religion that enables them to work for humanity.”

The leaders from Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Sikhism, Christianity and Islam gave speeches. The conference united the voice of people from different faith backgrounds to overcome COVID-19.

HWPL (Chairman Man Hee Lee) hosted the HWPL Peace Education Development Forum under the topic "Raising Peacemakers for a Brighter Future through Peace Education" with the Department of Education (DepEd) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to encourage the implementation of HWPL's Peace Education, which is a core initiative to achieve world peace.

More than 375 participants from the Philippines, South Korea, South Africa, Indonesia and Bangladesh joined the forum on September 18th - a day in celebration of National Peace Consciousness Month and International Day of Peace.

Representatives (civil officers, professors, peace activists of NGOs including HWPL) presented ways of promoting and accelerating HWPL's Peace Education curriculum in each country.

In a speech, Dr. Ronald L. Adamat presented an united subject within the Philippine education system, saying, "Through peace studies offered to the colleges and universities, we will all be preparing our students to be equipped with knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values in conflict resolution and peace works".

HWPL is a South Korea-based international non-government organization under the United Nations Economic and Social Council. It advocates peace-building through the establishment of international law for peace, interfaith dialogue meetings, and peace education.

Who? Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro's Spanish Army Vs Atahualpa, King of the Incas and unarmed 80,000 Incan people

Why? Spain began the Incas conquest to conquer the Incas and convert the Incas to Catholicism.

What happened? The Spanish Army offered the Bible and asked the Incan leader to convert to Christianity. Atahualpla, King of the Incas refused, so the Spanish slaughtered unarmed Incan people. Atahualpa was captured and later executed. It ignited a long fight between the Spanish and the Incas.



Today, traditional Incas in Peru have been participating in the peace work of Chairman Man Hee Lee and his peace groups (HWPL, IWPG and IPYG) through the 9.18 World Peace Summit, 5.25 Peace Walk and WARP (World Alliance of Religions' Peace) office.

Representatives of the Incan tribe had meetings with Chairman Man Hee Lee and even visited Korea to join in the 9.18 World Peace Summit and 5.25 Peace Walk.




We hope that the Incan tribe can keep working jointly with HWPL and Chairman Man Hee Lee :)
