[HWPL] Overview of the 32nd Peace Tour of HWPL

As soon as the global COVID-19 pandemic began to subside, Chairman Man-hee Lee and the peace delegation of HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of the Light) were invited to the Philippines for the 1st National Peace Convention Plenary and other related peace events.

1. The 1st National Peace Convention Plenary

On January 25th 2023, Volunteer Individuals for Peace (VIP) and HWPL agreed to draft a resolution requesting President Ferdinand "Bongbong" R. Marcos Jr. to proclaim a National Peace Day through a Presidential Declaration. They submitted the draft to the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU).

2. Peace Monument Unveiling Ceremony

On 24 January 2023, the peace monument unveiling ceremony was held at Plaza Asuncion in Malate. This monument, spearheaded by the Rotary Club of Manila Metro (RCMM) in collaboration with HWPL, calls for citizens and the government to make efforts to build peace and express support for the DPCW. On January 27, the unveiling ceremony of the HWPL-VIP peace monument was held at Mindanao Cotabato State University, which was designated as the first peace academy in the Philippines.

3. Support for the DPCW, Designating January 24th as a Day of Peace

The City of Manila and the Province of Davao de Oro proclaimed a resolution supporting the DPCW. Ahod B. Ebrahim, the Chief Minister of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), signed to support the DPCW and designated January 24th as the official day of peace in the BARMM region.

4. We Are One Music Peace Festival in Mindanao

On 26 January, for the first time in nearly 50 years since the conflict broke out, the “We Are One Music Peace Festival” was held at the Cotabato State University (CSU) gymnasium. It can be seen that Mindanao is safe and peaceful enough given that 6,000 people could attend and enjoy the festival safely. Kutawato Greenland Initiatives (KGI), which organized this festival, is establishing peace in the Cotabato region with HWPL.

Why are these peace events with HWPL in the Philippines so significant and meaningful in the history of the Philippines? No one including politicians, presidents or peace activists could bring 'perfect' peace to Mindanao, where religious conflict had persisted for nearly 50 years.

However, Chairman Man-hee Lee and HWPL solved the conflict between the Catholic and Muslim groups in Mindanao with a pure passion for peace and a non-violent resolution that everyone agreed on. Chairman Man-hee Lee and HWPL accomplished a civil peace agreement between two religions dramatically, promising the end to the history of bloodshed in Mindanao. No more guns, bullets, bombshells, violence, sorrow or pain for people in Mindanao.

The people of Mindanao now can enjoy a 'normal' life without fear of war and death, and can even hold a music festival and a concert to enjoy. The people of Mindanao cannot thank Chairman Lee and HWPL enough.

Now they want to celebrate peace with the Peace Monument and national anniversary to spread peace to the whole of the Philippines. Let's hope it heralds the beginnings of world peace :)
