On March 30-31, 2015, about 1,500 African dignitaries and people from all walks of life, including political and religious leaders, women's and youth organizations, and the media, attended the 'Africa World Alliance of Religions' Peace (WARP) Summit' held at the University of South Africa (UNISA) in Pretoria, South Africa. The government and major organizations such as the Ministry of Home Affairs, the African Youth Union (AYU), the National Interfaith Council of South Africa (NICSA), and the Interfaith Action for Peace in Africa (IFAPA) actively supported it.

The University of South Africa, where the event was held, is also the birthplace of Nobel Peace Prize winners such as Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu and Frederik Willem de Klerk.

Prior to the peace agreement ceremony, an in-depth discussion was held on the results of the WARP Summit held in Korea one year prior.

World-renowned Supreme Court justices, religious leaders, diplomatic ambassadors, African royalty, political leaders, women, and youth representatives from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) participated in the discussion. The participants emphasized with one voice that the “enactment of an international law for the cessation of war” proposed by HWPL, and the “unification of religions,” transcending the boundaries of denomination, must be realized for world peace.

South African Supreme Court Justice Bess Nkabinde said, “If we spread this message of peace throughout the world, the world will really change. Chairman Lee’s peace steps have stirred us to work towards peace,” she confessed.

Members of the Africa WARP Summit expressed their feelings towards Chairman Lee's sincerity for peace. Beniamino Salacakau, High Commissioner for the Republic of Fiji in Pretoria South Africa, said, “Chairman Lee is not tall, but he is a big man when he speaks. All religions call for peace, but they do not carry out practical steps for peace. Chairman Lee told us what we can do for peace and I am really impressed by this.”

Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of South Africa, Malusi Gigaba, said, “Chairman Lee’s message delivers the point that to achieve world peace, religious leaders must meet and unite and play their role in ensuring tolerance, understanding, and peace for people everywhere. The Chairman's message should be conveyed to everyone everywhere. I am convinced that peace can be achieved in today's era.”
