The 3rd Peace Tour held in Africa by Man-hee Lee, Chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji), was met with great acclaim by the local media and served as an opportunity to spread the 'light of peace' throughout Africa. Major media outlets in Ethiopia and South Africa daily reported extensively on the vision and message of world peace proclaimed by Chairman Lee.

The first stop on the peace tour was Ethiopia, where a national government-run broadcaster reported and published as its main headline the meeting held between Chairman Lee and President Girma Wolde-Giorgis. ETV News also reported on Chairman Lee's peace steps and travel schedule closely.

The second stop was in South Africa where he was met with an equally welcoming response from the local media. Chairman Lee met South African President Jacob Zuma and explained the meaning of the ‘6th WARP Summit’ held at Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul, South Korea.

Journalists were visibly moved by Chairman Lee's sincere answer to world peace. Hearing the news of Chairman Lee's visit to SABC, which is South Africa's largest state broadcaster, the CEO of SABC rushed to him and greeted him with a handshake.

In an interview with SABC News, Chairman Lee said, “The reason world peace has not yet been achieved is because there has been no material to achieve world peace. Now, world peace can be achieved.”

Moreover, reporters often followed Chairman Lee and his peace delegation's movements closely. Requests for interview flooded in from reporters, and many broadcasters interviewed Chairman Lee for the first time. Due to Chairman Lee's tight schedule, journalists had to visit his accommodation.

Following an interview, a producer from Cape Town TV, South Africa, responded with astonishment to Chairman Lee's message, saying, “It was a moving message that I had never heard before.” He said, “He captured my heart” and “He is a humble man. Although he is a chairman, he treats everyone equally. It's really beautiful."

  1. This is beautiful work. I sincerely hope that the DPCW will be enacted as international law when it is presented to the UN in late 2022 or early 2023. Kudos to Chairman Lee, HWPL, IPYG and all their supporters
