[HWPL] HWPL Peace Tours of Man-hee Lee (4): Seminar that awakened Europe and US - “God’s will is peace”, “These words are the truth”

1,500 people in attendance at the Open Bible Seminar held at Crystal Cathedral (later renamed Christ Cathedral) in Orange County, California, USA, listen to a lecture delivered by Chairman Man-hee Lee on July 21st 2012. Crystal Cathedral is the biggest Protestant church in the world

In response to the given command to "end wars and achieve world peace," Chairman Man-hee Lee embarked on his second peace tour to Europe and the US.

The second peace tour, which took place in July 2012, was decided on following a meeting of local religious people during the first peace tour to Germany and Europe. They asked for a follow-up lecture. The peace tour, which was launched in May 2012, was conducted by Man-hee Lee in his capacity as Chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji) until the establishment of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) in May 2013.

Chairman Man-hee Lee sought to convey the message that “God’s will is peace” through the truth he received. He asked the people he met to join hands with the peace movement he was advancing, telling them, "Let's end wars, make a world of peace, and pass it on to future generations."

What drew the extraordinary interest of the Western religious community was the content of Chairman Lee's lecture on the war in the Book of Revelation and the teachings on the end times. Chairman Lee testified the contents of Matthew chapters 23, 24, and 13, and the Book of Revelation only using the Bible, and emphasized that the world the Creator intends is a world of peace without death and suffering as promised in Revelation 21.

On his second tour, Chairman Man-hee Lee gave lectures in Europe, including Belgium and Germany, in early July 2012. His first lecture was held in Belgium. On July 4, 2012 (local time), about 300 believers attended the lecture held at Domaine Ol Fosse d'Outh (later renamed Vayamundo Houffalize) in Houffalize, Belgium.

On that day, believers welcomed Chairman Lee by holding palm branches and shouting 'Hosanna' to the sound of dance and cheers. The lectures were warmly received by those in attendance and were held three times in succession throughout the day.

Previously, Pastor Dorothy Wilson of Atterbury Chapel, who was impressed after attending the Frankfurt Conference in Germany in May 2012, invited Chairman Lee to her church during the second peace tour and directly proposed a united worship service. It was unusual for a pastor from another denomination to be invited to stand on the podium and preach the word.

Pastor Wilson said to Chairman Lee, “The message you are preaching is very logical. These words are the truth.” She also said, “I want to learn because he only speaks the words in the Bible.”

The lecture at Atterbury Chapel was held as a united worship service in the presence of 200 people, including 120 members of the Chapel. The audience's reaction was unanimous: "a wonderful and unheard-of teaching."

Kobe Depa from Ghana said, “The instructor taught from Genesis to Revelation in a way I've never come across. I am excited and happy to be here today.”

This lecture was held in the form of a combined worship service upon the invitation of Pastor Dorothy Wilson of Atterbury Chapel, who had been roused by Chairman Man-hee Lee's lecture delivered at the Open Bible Seminar in Frankfurt, Germany, in May 2012

Charles, a college student, also said, “When the instructor preached the word, I felt that he is a man of God, and I also knew that the word he was preaching is the word of the Lord.”

Chairman Man-hee Lee's first trip to the US was in New York.

About 300 religious people attended the Open Bible Seminar held at The Times Center, a venue located inside the New York Times building in Manhattan, New York, USA on July 14th. Chairman Man-hee Lee, who stood at the podium, introduced himself as “a lecturer from Korea, the land of the East, at the ends of the earth” and delivered a brief lecture on the war in the Book of Revelation. He said, “I have come to inform you of the fulfillment of the prophecies made by Jesus, because they have been fulfilled in Korea.”

After the seminar, Pastor Ag Heloj from Jamaica approached Chairman Man-hee Lee and requested a further lecture, saying, “I will gather about 1,000 pastors, so please come to Africa and give a lecture there.”

Pastor Robert Stevenson of New Jerusalem Pentecostal Cogic in Elmont, New York, said, “I was invited by a sister to the church and attended the lecture with two evangelists. I am so grateful to have listened to such a valuable teaching.”

Shenigue Grenigon, who attended the lecture with a friend after seeing invitations distributed on the street, said, “It was a very meaningful time to learn a lot about the Bible.”

On July 21st, the Crystal Cathedral Open Bible Seminar in Orange County, California, USA was filled with 1,500 guests. One participant named Barbara, who attended the seminar, said with teary eyes, “I have been searching for the truth for a long time; I was surprised to hear this lecture.”

The New Santa Ana newspaper, which conducted on-site coverage, reported, “Chairman Man-hee Lee looked surprisingly young for his 82 years of age.”

Reporters from New Santa Ana and Vacaville Magazine met on-site, saying, “Chairman Man-hee Lee is making a new wave in the world of Christianity.”

Peace!

  1. This is beautiful work. I sincerely hope that the DPCW will be enacted as international law when it is presented to the UN in late 2022 or early 2023. Kudos to Chairman Lee, HWPL, IPYG and all their supporters
