[HWPL] Mr. Man Hee Lee's HWPL Recalls the Spirit of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights through the DPCW

70 years ago, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed The Universal Declaration of Human Rights on 10 December 1948 in Paris.

According to the United Nations official homepage, it was adopted to establish a common standard of inalienable rights for all people and nations. It was the first declaration of fundamental human rights aimed to protect human rights universally. It has been translated into over 500 languages.

Many legal experts and diplomats have worked to discuss ways to create a first and perfect declaration for universal human rights, and they drafted 30 articles in support of the protection of human rights from war, conflict and any other threat to humanity. It was a highly innovative and significant milestone considering the world’s past history where 'human rights' have been seriously abused.

Despite the United Nations proclamation and efforts of the great people who founded it, the Korean War broke out 2 years later in the Korean peninsula and many more major and minor wars and conflicts followed including the Vietnam War, Gulf War and Iraq War. How sad and tragic this is. The declaration couldn't prevent humanity from such a tragic turn of events.

Meanwhile, there is someone who experienced the Korean War as a soldier on the front-lines, witnessing all wars, conflicts, terrorism, injustice and inequality.

Mr. Man Hee Lee. Chairman of HWPL who have declared DPCW

Mr. Man Hee Lee, the chairperson of HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) who does real work for world peace. HWPL was founded in 2013 and created its sub-organizations, IWPG (International Women's Peace Group) and IPYG (International Peace Youth Group).

Mr. Man Hee Lee of HWPL declared the Declaration of World Peace in 2013 and hosted the 918 World Peace Festival WARP Summit. Within a short period of time, many politicians, legal experts, diplomats, press, religious leaders and leaders of NGOs joined HWPL and Mr. Man Hee Lee to do the real work of world peace. Eventually, the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) was proclaimed on 14 March 2016 in Korea.

Mr. Man Hee Lee wants to create an international legally-binding law with the power to truly cease wars and conflicts throughout the world. Along with the members of HWPL, he wants to create a world with peace and friendship among all people regardless of nationality, race, sex, social status or religion in a world free of weapons or arms.

Now, Mr. Man Hee Lee, HWPL and its members are all working hard to introduce the DPCW's 10 articles and 38 clauses to the United Nations so that leaders in every nation in the world can sign it and turn it into legally binding law that can cease all world conflict. I, as a major supporter of HWPL, am also one of those people who wants the DPCW to be recognized as international law with global legal authority.

What we can do is promote HWPL and the DPCW, so that leaders in every country can sign and support the DPCW for enactment at the United Nations as international law in its assembly.
