It has been the long-standing pursuit of mankind to find a way to bring bloody conflicts triggered by religious ideologies to an end and to unite religions. Interreligious peace is an essential condition for ceasing wars and bringing peace to the world. The solution to this proposed by Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL, Chairman Man-hee Lee) is the ‘World Alliance of Religions' Peace (WARP) Office'. Religious leaders worldwide who participate in the scripture dialogues can testify to the astounding progress of peace being made between religions at the WARP Office. The WARP Office, which was initiated in 2014, has been welcomed by religious leaders and followers, and some organizations have proposed the signing of an MOU with HWPL.

The Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council (EIASC, President Haji Omar Idris) signs an MOU with HWPL for the smooth running of the World Alliance of Religions' Peace (WARP) Office at EIASC building in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on April 29, 2019

The Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council (EIASC, President Haji Omar Idris) garnered support for the ceremonial event through Islamic circles. On April 29th, 2019, at the headquarters of EIASC in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, HWPL and EIASC signed an MOU for the smooth running of the WARP Office.

The Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council (EIASC) is an organization that aims to promote the prosperity, practical and sound integration of Muslims in Ethiopia, to construct a peaceful and sustainable community, and to participate in the growth and change of the country. The EIASC has 11 Regional Islamic Affairs Higher Councils under its umbrella, and it cooperates with Ethiopia's Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant groups, as well as with local groups. As the official supreme Islamic institution under the jurisdiction of the Ethiopian government, it is responsible for hosting Islamic academic, cultural and environmental projects and events nationwide.

The MOU was conducted by the former chairman Muhammad-Amin Jamal and HWPL Chairman Manhee Lee. Former chairman Jamal was particularly moved by Chairman Lee's actions during his 29th peace tour to Ethiopia in August 2018. He was also drawn to the WARP Office that had been in operation for over 5 years and made the decision to participate in it, alongside members. Since the signing of the MOU, EIASC has been an active participant in the HWPL WARP Office.

The MOU was written for the purpose of conducting regular peace activities for religious leaders and people of faith in Ethiopia, and to establish a framework of values and collaborative steps between HWPL and EIASC.

HWPL promised to raise awareness of the need for peace and to promote interreligious peace in Ethiopia. To this end, HWPL agreed to provide details of the outcomes of its interreligious scripture dialogues and peace activities. Moreover, HWPL promised to support the activities of volunteer members of the EIASC and to actively publicize the religious Peacebuilding Network for the promotion of peace activities.

In response, the EIASC pledged to do its utmost in spreading a culture of peace through consistent religious peace activities, and promised to provide infrastructure and resources for the operation of religious peace programs in banquet halls, religious peace camps and more. Furthermore, it made the decision that it would regularly invite Muslim speakers to participate in the WARP Office for interreligious harmony. EIASC also promised to actively support HWPL's publicity campaign for religious peace, and to hold events in support of the DPCW for enactment as international law, such as at the annual commemorations of the 'March 14 Proclamation of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War' (DPCW), 'May 25 Declaration of World Peace', and 'September 18 World Alliance of Religions' Peace (WARP) Summit'.

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is signed between Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle (GGSSC), an Indian Sikh organization, and HWPL at The-K Hotel Seoul on September 19, 2019, during the 5th Annual Commemoration of the WARP (World Alliance of Religions' Peace) Summit

In India, a Sikh organization signed an MOU with HWPL and promised not only to participate in interreligious peace, but in all peace activities globally.

On September 19, 2019, an MOU was signed between the Indian Sikh organization Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle (GGSSC, Director Jatin Dupal Singh) and HWPL at The-K Hotel Seoul on September 19, 2019, during the 5th Annual Commemoration of the WARP (World Alliance of Religions' Peace) Summit, where they also presented the Indian Golden Temple souvenir to Chairman Lee.

GGSSC is a social, religious, academic and cultural institution, which cultivates a culture of 'Sarbat da bhala (welfare of all)' as recorded in the Sikh scriptures by educating volunteers and carrying out a global social movement. Founded in 1972 in Ludhiana, Punjab, India, it consists of 5 councils and 34 zones, and is active in 11 countries, including Canada. The organisation collaborates with five universities and Sikh organisations in India, including Punjab and Adesh. GGSSC was recognised by UNESCO as a 'Messenger of Peace' from 2000 to 2010 because of its ceaseless charitable efforts.

[HWPL] Plaque of Appreciation with a Message from the President of Egypt & Certificate of Appreciation from a Pan-Religious Organization in India

[HWPL] Plaque of Appreciation with a Message from the President of Egypt & Certificate of Appreciation from a Pan-Religious Organization in India

Chairman Man-hee Lee delivers his message of peace at a miniature WARP Summit held at Mata Sundri College for Women (University of Delhi), India, in the presence of 11 local religious leaders on December 11th 2014
Man-hee Lee, Chairman of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), and his peace delegation have been promoting the enactment of an international peace law for the cessation of war in the global community, and overseas organizations that participated in the WARP Office Dialogue of Scriptures have expressed their gratitude to Chairman Lee’s peace movement. In particular, a private Egyptian broadcaster has reported HWPL's global peace activity for the goal of enacting an international law to end all wars a total of 119 times, and delivered a plaque of appreciation - with a message from the President of Egypt - to Chairman Lee. In India, Interfaith Coalition for Peace delivered a certificate of appreciation to Chairman Lee, with a message declaring its support for the movement of religious unity.

On September 18th 2015, Kamal Khalifa Abdelrahman Mahmoud, Chairman of Alsalamnews, an Egyptian media outlet, presented a plaque of appreciation to Chairman Man-hee Lee at a ceremony that marked the first anniversary of the WARP Summit.

The plaque of appreciation, composed in Arabic, was engraved with the words, "We express our gratitude to those who have sworn to God to preserve and protect their homeland, along with the greetings of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi."

There was a reason why Mr. Mahmoud delivered a plaque of appreciation with the President's greetings to Chairman Lee. He was a first-hand witness of the progress to enact an international law for the cessation of war and global peace, which was first promised to the world at HWPL's WARP Summit on September 18th 2014. He attended the WARP Summit in 2014, as well as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd annual commemorations from 2015 to 2017. After delivering the plaque of appreciation, he joined hands for this movement for peace, doing whatever he could.

The ceremony of the first annual commemoration of the WARP Summit in 2015 was particularly meaningful to Mr. Mahmoud, who was joined in attendance by fellow Egyptians and law scholars who were also visiting Korea and attended the HWPL International Law Peace Committee Meeting for the cessation of war. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Said El-Dakkak, President of the International Law Association, and Ahmed Mohamed Rifaat, Professor of International Law (former president of Beni-Suef University) both attended the event and shared their expertise on the enactment of this draft law for the cessation of wars in the global village.

On March 14th 2016 the following year, an international law drafted by 21 leading global law scholars - including the aforementioned persons - was proclaimed in the form of a Preamble as “The 10 Articles and 38 Clauses of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW).” Mr. Mahmoud attended the official event on that day, and has become a living witness to it.

Through regular communication with HWPL, Mr. Mahmoud reported HWPL's peace activity a total of 119 times. He also established an HWPL office in Cairo, Egypt, and was appointed an HWPL Peace Ambassador.

Dr. Syed Zafar Mahmood (right), President of Interfaith Coalition for Peace in New Delhi, India, delivers a certificate of appreciation to Chairman Man-hee Lee on December 11th 2014

On December 11th 2014, during HWPL's 16th Peace Tour, a 'miniature WARP Summit' was held at Mata Sundri College for Women (University of Delhi), India. Guests from India who were visibly touched by the WARP Summit held prior on September 18th 2014 in Korea voluntarily gathered religious leaders and followers from among their own circles and recreated a miniature WARP Summit. On that day, 11 religious leaders held a “discussion for the interpretation of the scriptures on peace.” Interfaith Coalition for Peace, a local interfaith peace organization that participated in the event, held a peace conference where they presented a letter of appreciation to Chairman Lee, a global spiritual leader and messenger of peace.

Dr. Syed Zafar Mahmood, President of Interfaith Coalition for Peace, acknowledged HWPL's peace movement and expressed his gratitude for their global peace tours as ‘messengers of peace.’

In the letter of appreciation, the organization acknowledged the progress made by Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) and HWPL Chairman Lee, who has devoted his life as a global messenger of peace to resolve religious conflicts on all continents, to strengthen the capacity of women and youth, and to demand responsible and objective media reporting. The Certificate reads, “We, at Interfaith Coalition for Peace in India do hereby warmly greet Mr. Man Hee Lee as the Advocate of Peace and we feel happy to present this Plaque to him.”

Dr. Mahmood, Founder and President of Interfaith Coalition for Peace, has been particularly active among religious circles in India. He was one of the representatives of Indian Muslims at an interfaith meeting held during the visit to India by former US President George W. Bush in 2006. He also met HH Dalai Lama at the 'Inter-Faith Conclave' in New Delhi. Dr. Mahmood served as 'Officer on Special Duty' for the then Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, and is also Founder and Chairman of Zakat Foundation of India and God's Grace Foundation.

Interfaith Coalition for Peace is an organization that urges people of all religions and beliefs to work together to achieve religious tolerance, mutual respect and peace. It promotes the importance of raising human dignity and enables people to achieve the full realization of their rights as human beings. It actively conveys a message to Indian society that all governments, political forces, and non-governmental organizations should work hand in hand with various religious organizations to build trust and understanding.

Meanwhile, HWPL's 16th peace tour in India bore fruit in other ways than just through the miniature WARP Summit. At the 15th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World (ICCJW) at City Montessori School, to which Chairman Lee was invited as keynote speaker, all 160 participating Supreme Court justices from 43 countries signed the International Law Enactment Convention for the Cessation of War and World Peace, and they were appointed as advisors to the HWPL International Law Peace Committee. Following the signing ceremony, City Montessori School held a Peace Walk for World Peace and Cessation of War with the participation of about 2,000 students and justices.

Dr.Bharti Gandhi and her husband Dr.Jagdish Gandhi have been maintaining  a good relationship with Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) since 2014. They participated in HWPL's World Peace Summit and signed the World Alliance of Religions Agreement as Bahai representatives. Chairman Man Hee Lee also visited City Montessori School in India, that is run by Dr.Bharti Gandhi and Jagdish Gandhi.

In 2018, HWPL signed an MOU with City Montessori School to adopt their Peace Education at the school. They started to implement Peace Education in schools for world peace.

In August 2019, City Montessori School hosted the Legislate Peace project to support the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) with HWPL members. After that, more than 4000 students and teachers visited South Korea to learn about the spirit of peace culture and cultural performances at the World Peace Summit. This was followed by the World Peace Summit parade and a cultural performance of peace by City Montessori School at the 20th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World which deeply moved participants to support HWPL's Peace campaign.

Moreover, to jointly work with HWPL's Peace campaign, City Montessori School hosted '2019 HWPL Religious Peace and Harmony'. Panels from various religions discussed ways for unity and harmony among world religions.

[Peace News] Short Peace News of the Week and HWPL

[Peace News]

[Peace News] Short Peace News of the Week

Religious News From Around The Web, Jan 27th 2020 / World Religion News / Jan 27th 2020

India's Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has caused controversy over its exclusion of Muslims for application as national citizens. Therefore, tens of thousands of people of other religions (Hinduism, Christianity, Sikhism etc.) have united to oppose the CAA. Now they are fighting for the religious liberty of all people in India.

In 2017, more than 700,000 Muslim Rohingyas escaped Myanmar during the 'Rohingya Genocide' carried out by the government of Myanmar. Hundreds of villages were destroyed and countless lives lost. The Myanmar government has denied charges of genocide, but the International Court of Justice has ruled that it must prevent further massacre and not destroy evidence.

HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) and Chairman Man Hee Lee have been carrying out peace initiatives since HWPL's founding in 2013. Their initiatives include urging people throughout the world to support the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) 10 Articles and 38 Clauses due for introduction to the UN General Assembly as legally-binding international law. The DPCW's laws include peace between countries and religions by spreading a culture of peace and peace education.

It's certain that HWPL and Chairman Man Hee Lee's DPCW will contribute much to eliminating global religious conflicts and wars.

[IPYG] Peace Walk and Letter across the World

The world has been suffering from war and conflict since the beginning, and it continues. HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light, Chairperson: Mr. Man Hee Lee), IWPG (International Women's Peace Group) and IPYG (International Peace Youth Group) has been carrying out their main initiatives for world peace such as the Peace Walk campaign since 2013.

Today I bring you pictures from global Peace Walk Festivals :) Let's check them out.

Peace advocates of HWPL and IPYG held the 6th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk Festival on May 26th at Gangaramaya Temple, Sri Lanka. Given that tragic Sri Lanka Easter bombings happened because of religious and ethnic problems, this Peace Walk Festival was very significant.

100s of youth from IPYG held the 6th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk Festival in Delhi Public Library in New Delhi, India. Participants wrote peace letters to Ram Nath Kovind, the president of India.

IPYG, Çanakkale Bicycle Platform and Çanakkale Koza Youth Association co-hosted 'Cycle for Peace' to promote the importance of peace.

IPYG members in Gabon hosted the 6th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk with youth and students. Lebissa Eliol Trancy, the director of Jaeunesse D'abord GABON, participated in the event. He encouraged the work of peace-building together with IPYG.

IPYG members in Mali hosted the 6th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk at Ecole Fondamentale Lafia De Kalaban-Koro in Bamako, Mali. IPYG Mali branch reported that VIPs from various sectors and 300 youth participated in the event. Given that the Malian civil war broke out a few months ago, the event showed their desperate will for peace.

IPYG hosted the 6th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk with 100 students including Isiam Imeri, President of Student Parliament of Tetova University at Tetova University in Tetova, North Macedonia.
