Chairman ManHee Lee is the head representative of the global peace organization HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light), which is striving for the enactment and implementation of the international peace law 'Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW)'. The  DPCW is a legal instrument comprised of 10 articles and 38 clauses that can end wars and hostilities throughout the world. HWPL is also spreading a culture of peace and implementing peace education.

Chairman ManHee Lee experienced the cruelty and tragedy of war as a veteran of the Korean War. This is one of the reasons why he founded a global peace campaign as the head of HWPL. He has traveled the globe more than 35 times to meet and persuade politicians, legal experts, journalists, professors, peace activists, civil organization leaders, heads of tribes and others to unite them for the work of peace. The significant fruits borne out of his hard work are the World Alliance of Religions' Peace (WARP) Summit and HWPL Peace Committee. The DPCW was drafted and finalised by the HWPL Peace Committee.

How, you may wonder, do I know this? About 10 years ago, when I had just been discharged from military service, I came to know HWPL and Chairman ManHee Lee while researching the topic of civil conflicts to satisfy my curiosity in ongoing global issues. At that time, the island of Mindanao in the Philippines was suffering from a major civil conflict that lasted more than 40 years, and Chairman ManHee Lee and HWPL resolved this conflict through non-violent means.

Chairman Lee brought an end to the conflict in Mindanao by holding a peace talk between the warring Catholic and Islamic groups. Before the talk, HWPL and Chairman ManHee Lee held a Peace Walk to spread the culture of peace in Mindanao with the many locals who had gathered out of a desire for peace.

Chairman ManHee Lee's pressing appeal today is that humanity unites for sustainable peace in order to pass on the legacy of peace to future generations worldwide. He doesn't just talk peace, but has worked tirelessly for it through practical peace campaigns for over a decade.

I decided to become a supporter of HWPL and Chairman ManHee Lee's peace initiatives because I also desire a world of peace for all posterity.

Today I'd like to introduce an article regarding IPYG(International Peace Youth Group, a youth group under HWPL)'s affiliate group in the Philippines.

Introducing the IPYG Affiliate Organization – Kutawato Greenland Initiatives Inc (KGI)

The Kutawato Greenland Initiatives Inc (KGI) is a non-governmental organization, based in Cotabato City, Philippines with approximately 300 members actively engaged in projects related to environmental protection, mitigation of climate change, peace development, and education.

Mr. Danilo Mocsin, the founder of KGI and Ms. Raisah Mocsin, the Program Manager, are a married couple who founded the organization together and have been leading it since its establishment. Since 2016, they have actively been collaborating with IPYG, organizing various peace events, including Peace Walks. Recognized for their contributions of playing a key role in erecting the 3rd Peace Monument in Cotabato City, they received an HWPL Peace Award at the 9th Anniversary of the September 18th HWPL World Peace Summit.

Currently, KGI is actively expanding its peace activities by forming Youth Engagement & Peacebuilding Working Group (YEPW) with young people, religious groups, military organizations, and others in 13 Mindanao regions. YEPW organized a Peace Exchange Camp for youth involved in religious peace in Mindanao last September and, in December, gathered around 300 youth, soldiers, and various citizens for a peace walk during the Mindanao Peace Week.

Mindanao has a painful history with over 120,000 casualties in a 40-year conflict, but a new breeze of peace is blowing in this region. Led by KGI, YEPW has become the largest youth community in the region, leading the way for development and the establishment of a culture of peace.

Finally, this is the message from Mr. Danilo Mocsin to the youth around the world.

Danilo T. Mocsin, Chairperson of Kutawato Greenland Initiatives Inc (KGI)

Greetings of peace from Mindanao, Philippines. I am Danilo T. Mocsin, chairperson of Kutawato, Greenland initiatives incorporated or KGI.

In a world filled with turmoil and conflict, let us come together and build a foundation of peace. Regardless of our differences, we share a common longing for harmony and unity. It is only through mutual respect, understanding and compassion that we can create a better world for ourselves and future generations.

Let us replace the weapons of destruction with the tools of dialogue and reconciliation. Let us try to resolve conflicts peacefully, seeking common ground and emphasizing our shared humanity. It is time to recognize that violence only begets more violence, while peace can pave the way for progress and sustainable development.

May we foster cultures of peace in our homes, schools, and communities, spreading messages of tolerance, acceptance and love. By empowering youth and giving them a platform to voice their dreams and aspirations, we can shape a future free from the chains of hatreds and division.

Together, let us reject violence and embrace dialogue and negotiations as the means of resolving conflict, big and small. Let us see diversity as a strength, and bridge ideas and perspectives that can drive us towards a mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence. This is a call to actions for all individuals, organizations, and nations.

Let us unite in the pursuit of peace. May our voices combine to send ripples of hope across the globe, inspiring others to join us on this noble journey towards a world where peace reigns supreme.

Remember, peace begins with each one of us. Let us be the change we wish to see.

We are one.
