[IPYG] Dominican Youth's Peace Walk with IPYG

Santo Domingo, capitol of the Dominican Republic

September 18th 2019 was the 5th Anniversary of HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light. Chairman: Man Hee Lee) WARP Summit hosted in Suwon, Republic of Korea (South Korea).

Meanwhile, on the same day in the Dominican Republic, the 2019 HWPL World Peace Summit was hosted and organized by International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) and United Nations-affiliated peace organization 'Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL)' and the Dominican government.

More than 1500 elementary and secondary school students and members of youth groups carrier out a peace walk in Roseau, Dominica. Many VIPs such as Hon. Petter Saint Jean (The Minister of Education of the Dominican Republic) and Alexander Baron (The Minister of Youth, National Youth Council President) also participated.

Dominican press introduced IPYG as a group which has toured many Caribbean nations to gather signed M.O.Us with HWPL to support the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War). The DPCW is an international law that consists of 10 articles and 38 clauses which was drafted by HWPL's International Law Peace Committee to achieve world peace through law and the culture of peace.

Participants carried out the peace walk from the cruise ship terminal at Bay Front to Windsor Park Stadium to spread and cultivate a culture of peace within their communities.

A local Roseau restaurant owner who watched the Peace Walk said, "This peace walk could not have come at a better time. It's exciting to see Dominican people, especially the youth, come together."

  1. Beautiful article. In the words of Chairman Lee, “The desire for unification is the same voice of peace. There should be no more wars in our globe. Rather than pointing at each other with guns, youth should be at the front leading the way to peace.”
