[HWPL] WHO is Chairman Man Hee Lee?

[HWPL]

[HWPL] WHO is Chairman Man Hee Lee?

HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) and its chairman Mr. Man Hee Lee is a very well-known and respected figure for world peace. Chairman Lee has always shown his passion and enthusiasm for world peace. Then why is Chairman Lee so passionate about world peace?

Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL

He was born into a poor farmer's family in Cheongdo but that's not all. He is actually a descendant of the Korean royal family. When he was a young boy, there was the Japanese colonial era in Korea so he had to live through a period absent of national sovereignty or power. He had to learn Japanese instead of his native language (Korean) under Japanese colonial rule so he understands the sorrow of living in a country that had lost its identity.

Seoul under Japanese colonial era

In 1945, Korea finally reached independence and restored the land but soon a cruel storm hit the Korean peninsular...the Korean War in 1950. Ideological conflicts between communism and democracy established Korea as a hotbed of vicarious battles between global powers. The young Man Hee Lee joined the Korean army to defend his land. He experienced countless and ruthless victims and deaths. There were innocent citizens, children, women and youth among them who were supposed to be protected but no one could save them.

His memory, which is a part of Korean history, became a significant motivating factor behind the founding of the world peace organizations HWPL, IWPG and IPYG and the carrying out of main initiatives such as the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War).

Bombardment in Wonsan during Korean War

After the end of the war, he decided to create a global peace group and to work for peace. A world where humanity can live forever. He didn't want the next generation to experience the same thing he had.

His global peace work began in 2013, and now chairman Lee and his peace advocates are striving to introduce the DPCW to the UN and working for its enactment with support from world leaders of every nation.

You can read about them in my previous articles regarding HWPL and the DPCW :)

Now, I want to finish my article with this video from HWPL :) I hope you enjoy it.

[Peace News] Mr. Man Hee Lee is Awarded the Seoul Peace Culture Grand Prize!

[Peace News]

[Peace News] Mr. Man Hee Lee is Awarded the Seoul Peace Culture Grand Prize!

Greetings, family of peace! :)

Today I bring you a short online newspaper with some photos (which I love).

Have you ever heard of the Seoul Peace Culture Grand Prize? Well, I'm sure you've never heard of it because it is a prize that is only awarded in Korea. Anyway, on the 14th Dec at Kensington hotel, Daily Seoul and Seoul Peace Culture Policy Institute co-hosted the Seoul Peace Culture Awards.

The Seoul Peace Culture Award is a national award that began in 2007 to demonstrate the will and belief of Koreans who desire the well-being of humanity and eternal peace for the world.

During his award speech, Chairman Man Hee Lee said, "The purpose of HWPL is the cessation of war through an international law (DPCW : Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) which prohibits the production of weapons and war. It is acknowledged throughout the world as an effective measure to end wars. I'd really like to ask for the cooperation of Koreans in supporting HWPL to accomplish the peaceful reunification of the Korean peninsula in a practical way."

The Segye Times introduced HWPL as "an NGO under the ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council) and the UN's DPI (Department of Public Information)" which is carrying out the enactment of international law, alliance of religions, peace education and more to achieve world peace.

The article also said that HWPL has been taking the lead in peace initiatives and campaigns which represent all social classes through its peace tours that began in 2012, as well as its annual event - the WARP (World Alliance of Religions' Peace) Summit - that invites people from all over the world to engage in cooperation and discussion of world peace since 2014.

The paper emphasized that HWPL has been expanding its international alliances and initiatives through the 918 Peace Festival WARP summit, the enactment of new international law compatible with the DPCW and Legislate Peace Campaign, peace education, harmony of religions etc. To date, more than one million people in 170 countries have participated in the Legislate Peace Campaign.

Writer's comment : I'm so glad that, within Korea itself, HWPL and Mr. Man Hee Lee's efforts and works are gaining recognition and being credited for world peace. I actually think they should have awarded the prize to HWPL and Mr. Man Hee Lee earlier, but it is a very significant step that Koreans are now also welcoming HWPL and its chairman's work for world peace. I hope someday.

[Peace News] President Jae-In, Moon is confident of peaceful Korean peninsula

[Peace News]

[Peace News] President Jae-In, Moon  is confident of peaceful Korean peninsula

Good day, Family of Peace :D

Today I will write a short article for you :) This is not news about HWPL or chairman Man Hee Lee, but it is closely connected to HWPL's initiatives for world peace.

The current president of the Republic of Korea is Mr. Jae-In Moon. He is a very popular politician in Korea and most international press has praised him as 'The Master of Negotiation'. The biggest achievement in his political career is the key role he has played in creating a peaceful mood within the Korean peninsula. He has led the Inter-Korean Summit and cultural exchanges three times, and also carried out the 2018 North Korea-United States summit in Singapore in May. Now he is looking forward to the 2nd North Korea-United States summit that will be held soon.

I have brought some articles about and quotes of Mr. Jae-In Moon, who is currently touring Europe. The first country he visited was France. Let's see what comments he made about peace in the Korean peninsula :) These articles are Korean-only, but don't worry, just follow my lead :)

In this article, Mr. Moon said :

"I'm sure that peace will come to the Korean peninsula. And I want to institutionalize the Inter-Korean summit as a regular meeting between North and South Korea."

He is very confident that the two Koreas can create peace and declare the cessation of war between them. He is also very optimistic about the denuclearization of North Korea. One of the purposes of his European tour is to ask for support and cooperation for peace in the Korean peninsula :)

In this article, Mr. Moon said :

"I want to make the NLL (The Northern Limit Line: one of the boundary lines dividing North and South Korea) extend to include a sea of peace."

The NLL has been a very controversial and hostile issue that even caused a few conflicts between the North and South Korean navies.  However, Mr. Moon added that he wants the sea around NLL to become a shared fishing zone between North and South Korea.

I hope this 'shared Korean fishing zone' really happens before reunification so that the interaction between Koreans can push a peaceful reunification more quickly :) I personally want to see Korean fishermen work together :)

HWPL and its chairman Man Hee Lee have been working for world peace and for the reunification of the Korean peninsula.

As a supporter of HWPL, I’m so glad to see that Korean leaders are cooperating for a united Korea and for the cessation of war.

I'm sure that if Korean leaders work with Mr. Man Hee Lee and HWPL, it will create better results for world peace and reunification of the Korean peninsula. What do you think? :) I don't think Mr. Jae-In Moon and Mr. Jung-Eun Kim would reject the DPCW at the UN. If world presidents and ministers really want world peace, it is a given that they must support HWPL's work and its DPCW to create a peaceful world without any conflict :)

Let's wish for more hopeful news of peace to come soon :)

[HWPL] 918 World Peace WARP Summit : Questions for Mr. Man Hee Lee and HWPL

[HWPL]

[HWPL] 918 World Peace WARP Summit : Questions for Mr. Man Hee Lee and HWPL

Greetings! Family of Peace :)

Today, I’m bringing you a short article about the 918 World Peace WARP Summit. Among thousands of participants, there was much press including reporters and journalists gathering news about HWPL, the 918 World Peace WARP Summit and the DPCW. On behalf of these wonderful messengers of peace, HWPL hosted the official Press Conference for the 2018 HWPL World Peace Summit for the press to ask many questions to chairman Man Hee Lee, and to HWPL, IWPG and IPYG.

Enthusiastic questions bombarded the conference room as reporters and journalists raised their hands restlessly. Questions from participants at the conference reflected their serious interest in HWPL and in Mr. Man Hee Lee. Let's take a look at some of these questions :)

What impact will this year’s HWPL World Peace Summit have on security and peace in the world?
Mr. Nam Gyeong Won, Sunday Newspaper
Women are so important in the creation of a world for women. IWPG has a huge impact in Asia but this is also particularly true in Africa, especially Nigeria. How do you plan to further expand your IWPG activities when you are working outside of Asia?
Mr. Nazeeb Sulayman Ibraheem, FRCN Radio Nigeria

IPYG collected about 100,000 letters supporting the peaceful unification of the Korean Peninsula. First, how did you motivate young people to participate in the project? Second, how did the government respond to the peaceful activities of the young people? Third, I wonder what the government should do after hearing the voices of the young people.
Mr. Taehoon Kim, News Free zone
What can I do as a media personal to encourage people to be more actively involved in not only their communities and neighborhoods, but even in their own homes to ensure that peace is a reality in our future?
Ms. Audrey N. Kenner, CAN TV

Questions were addressed to HWPL, IWPG, IPYG and the participants (the press) themselves :) They wanted to know how the work of world peace has been carried out and what they can do for it. I think that the duty of the press for world peace is to spread and deliver peace news in their country. This way, it will urge people from all classes in that country to support the world peace campaign and DPCW of HWPL. I'm sure that the participants’ coverage will gather more people for the work of world peace. :)

I haven't written in the answers above because I want you yourselves to find out what the answers for each question are. Now, come with me :) Don't hesitate, the path to peace is upon you :)

[HWPL] Brief Biography of Man Hee Lee the chairman of HWPL. The path to peace.

[HWPL]

[HWPL] Brief Biography of Man Hee Lee the chairman of HWPL. The path to peace.

Greetings! Family of Peace :)

I have been introducing the many activities of HWPL and the progress of the DPCW, but I realized that I haven't talked much with you about the chairman of HWPL, Man Hee Lee. I know that I mentioned his name and who he is in previous articles, but I want to do it again to remind you who we are working together with :)

Man Hee Lee, the chairman of HWPL, was born in the small rural town of Cheongdo, south-east Korea. He came from a poor farming family who had little to eat and live on because he also had many brothers and sisters.

He said :

"I was born into a poor family. I have experienced sorrow, pain, hunger, contempt, disdain, and glares. I have fought with people, been beaten by people, and worked my fingers to the bone."

He went through many hardships as a kid which were so harsh for his age. Moreover, at the end of his teenage years, the Korean War (the most tragic in Korean history) had broken out and he joined the war as a staff sergeant in the front line.

"I also fought in the frontlines of war, the Korean War, as a combat soldier. It was a tragic, fratricidal war."

"I saw my comrades dying in pain countless times. I was stuck in a situation where I could not advance forward or retreat. I was so hungry that I even ate dirt and gunpowder. I struggled to survive. The sounds of guns, cannons, jets, and bombs did not stop for one second. The heavens, the earth, and my heart trembled, and the sky was filled with smoke. When will the soldiers change out of their bloodstained military uniforms? Killing with guns and dying from starvation—this was the tragedy of a fratricidal war. However, Korea is still a divided country and faces potential threats today. I, who have experienced these difficulties but came out alive, was guided by the heavens to make a pledge in blood and begin a life of faith. Even as I carried out my life of faith, I experienced many difficulties. Were these moral lessons? Were they moments of refinement?"

The young Man Hee Lee has experienced a time without peace but only killings, hunger, sorrow, death, destruction, despair and every physical and mental scar that war can bring people. His experience as a soldier in the Korean War became one of the most strongest motivations for Mr. Man Hee Lee in establishing HWPL and creating the DPCW.

Later, in his 80s, he founded the world's largest volunteer organization (later becoming HWPL) with his colleagues and friends then hosted many peace events and traveled the world to meet global dignitaries including politicians, legal experts, professors of various fields, leaders of many ethnic groups and of women's and youth organizations to urge them to work for world peace together.

As a result of his hard work, the peace N.G.O HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light)  was established in Korea and registered under the Korean government and the UN. Shortly after the foundation of HWPL he continued his path for world peace. In 2013, he proclaimed the Declaration of World Peace.

www.hwpl.kr
In 2014, he hosted the 918 World Peace WARP Summit with all the people he had invited from all over the world and...

918 World Peace WARP Summit

"....and we then hosted the 6th World Peace Festival: Culture and Sports Celebration of Restoring Light, which was the greatest Olympiad ever to be hosted in the world.   The politics and laws of East and West Germany failed to unify their nation, but the candlelight protests of the religious people became the stepping stone for unification and achieving peace. The island of Mindanao in Philippines lost about 120,000 lives from the 40-year religious conflict, and the conflict between the government forces and the rebel forces could not be resolved.

However, God sent me to settle this problem, which neither the government laws nor the armed forces were able to resolve. The war came to an end and peace arrived in the island of Mindanao.  Moreover, the rebel forces who heard the word of God through me turned over their weapons to the government that day."

HWPL's chairman, Mr. Man Hee Lee brought out the peace agreement between Catholicism and Islam who had fought each other for more than 40 years. It showed that HWPL and Mr. Man Hee Lee have the power to resolve civil and religious conflicts (that even the U.N. couldn't stop) in a peaceful way.

His peaceful steps steadily continued and he gathered numerous people for world peace. Legal experts and professionals joined HWPL to create a new international law - DPCW (the Declaration of Peace and the Cessation of War) - for implementation via the U.N. Furthermore, world politicians also participated with HWPL to introduce the DPCW to the U.N. and to urge world dignitaries to work together for world peace.

In 2018, once again, the 525 peace walk campaign and 918 World Peace WARP Summit was hosted in Korea and throughout the world.

His peace work doesn't end here. According to some statistics, 80% of wars are caused by religious conflict. So HWPL also runs the Alliance of Religions Office (also called the WARP Office) to offer opportunities for every religion to talk and to discuss what the truth of God is. This initiative demonstrates religions' peaceful way of resolving religious conflict.

Mr. Man Hee Lee also cooperates with educational experts and professionals. He thinks we need to teach youth about world peace and the peaceful resolution of conflicts. Together with colleagues of peace, HWPL has introduced peace education and published textbooks. Many elementary, middle and high schools and universities throughout the world have already adopted HWPL's peace education to teach their students the value of world peace.

"I received many rewards from around the world—certificates of awards, plaques, and medals. However, these are not the true rewards. The true reward is the establishment of world peace. This is an eternal reward.
The cessation of war and establishment of peace on this earth is truly the will of God.  God has worked for this purpose.
The political leaders, justices, religious leaders, heads of organizations, and the press around the world believe in me, the peace advocate, and are working together in this movement of peace.
The road I walk on is small and narrow."

As he said in his quotes, he is a Christian and the chairman of a Christian group too. He always says 'World peace is God's work. God helps me to do his work, which is world peace'.

Myself don't believe in any religion but I believe world peace is the only choice for mankind; the only way for future generations and for the world.

I have been watching his peace work since 2015 and he really has been working - not for his profit - but for mankind and the world. There are some people who slander him and his work because of their ignorance and narrow minds that distort their perception of Mr. Man Hee Lee and HWPL's peace work. They label Mr. Man Hee Lee and HWPL a cult that tries to deceive people for  profit, but I would like to ask them, "What kind of cult would do the work of world peace and devote themselves for this peace work like a martyr without rest?" If slanderers were to see how Mr. Man Hee Lee and his colleagues have been working for world peace, they would surely be quiet.

Mr. Man Hee Lee is a true religious man who works for the world and the future.

I wish for every person, including those who slander Man Hee Lee and HWPL, to join this wonderful, fantastic work of world peace. It does not belong to any single individual, but to us all :) Let's save ourselves and our children from war. Let's save our future together :)

Peace!
