[HWPL] The DPCW: the solution to ending all wars - Letter to Prime Minister Theresa May from an HWPL supporter 2

[HWPL]

[HWPL] Why DPCW? - Letter to Prime Minister Theresa May from an HWPL supporter

Dear Rt Hon. Theresa May,

Following on from my last letter, I would like to explain why I believe your support for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) is so critical to ending all conflicts and creating peace.

Since May 2012, Mr. Manhee Lee, an 89-year-old frontline veteran of the fratricidal and bloody Korean War, has toured the world 31 times meeting heads of state, civil society leaders and the press in 100 countries urging for their support for an end to all wars. He is the chairman of HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light).

Following the initial drafting of the DPCW by HWPL's International Law Peace Committee at the Royal Courts of Justice in Westminster, November 2015, the DPCW was officially proclaimed in Seoul, Republic of Korea, in March 2016. Since then, thousands of leaders in the fields of politics, law, education, religion and journalism have made firm commitments to working for peace by garnering support for the DPCW in their respective countries.

It is clear that existing international law has failed to resolve existing wars or prevent war from breaking out. The rights enshrined within the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UNDHR) and constitutional law have failed men, women and children and young lives continue to be needlessly sacrificed on the battlefield. Who can compensate for a young life robbed of its opportunity to bloom or for the hurt of a mother for her child?

The DPCW was founded to cease wars and establish peace in our world. It comprises 10 articles and 38 clauses that protect core human rights, rectify the loopholes of current international peace law and ultimately seeks to be implemented as a "fair rule of law" for all countries.

Articles 1-5 focus on conflict prevention, articles 6-7 on conflict resolution and articles 8-10 on maintaining a sustainable world of peace. The DPCW has a bottoms-up approach with millions of men, women and children signing in support of its immediate ratification as internationally-binding law. HWPL's ‘Legislate Peace Campaign’ has collected over one million signatures through its ‘Legislate Peace’ campaign propelled along by its two wings, International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) and International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG).

Some of the DPCW’s most ardent supporters include H.E. Gennady Burbulis (former State Secretary of Russia and President of Baltic-Black Sea Forum), H.E. Viktor Yushchenko (former President of Ukraine), H.E. Emil Constantinescu (former President of Romania) and H.E. Mahmoud Abbas (former President of Palestine), to name just a few.

Moreover, the DPCW incorporates articles on religion, which is the cause of so much of today’s conflicts. If religious leaders can come together and find peace with one another, then they can lead believers on the right path. For this purpose, HWPL is uniting leaders of all faiths through its 218 World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) offices that operate in 126 countries.

In an increasingly divided world marred by conflict, HWPL and its supporters are all striving without rest to achieve peace by submitting hand-written letters to all 193 heads of state calling for the immediate ratification of the DPCW, which will be introduced to the United Nations’ General Assembly for ratification as an internationally-binding law this September 2019. I hope that you will give your full support for this work of peace and also sign your name. The actions of world leaders will be remembered by future generations and this may be the last chance we have.

I leave you with a few quotes below from the DPCW’s most passionate supporters.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,
James

“I believe that actualization of peace within communities is well-reflected in the DPCW. And I am sure that the DPCW needs to be and will be as historical as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.”
H.E. Gennady Burbulis, Former State Secretary of Russia and President of Baltic-Black Sea Forum

“The DPCW is a perfect and balanced document that can be the basis of solidarity for peacekeeping in all countries of the world. I think all the leaders of the countries should support the DPCW”
H.E. Viktor Yushchenko, Former President of Ukraine

“I recognise the value and vision stated in the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War within my purview as a Legal Advisor to President of Sri Lanka. I express the hope that fellow friends of the community would support this peace movement by advocating the Declaration to be incorporated into national laws”
M.R.G. Ranatunga, Attorney at Law Notary Public of Sri Lanka

“I believe that the Declaration of World Peace proclaimed in Seoul can get everyone around the world, no matter if they are men, women, youth or children, ready to unite under the mantle of peace and take the responsibility to promote the message of peace to the entire world.”
H.E. Emil Constantinescu, Former President of Romania

“This work of peace is not a dream but becoming reality. The DPCW will serve as a legacy for future generations to put an end to war and achieve peace in our world. There can neither be a nation without people nor a leader without a nation. National leaders are responsible for listening to what people want - peace.”
Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL

Peace!

[HWPL] 4th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace

[HWPL]

4th Annual Commemoration

of the Declaration of World Peace

There are many meaningful days in May.
National Teacher's day, Mother's Day, etc.
And there is one more and very meaningful day.
On that day, there is peace walk festival.
It's the 4th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace walk.

I participated in the previous one. There were foreigners from various countries as well as young people. They were gathered together and marching in the walk shouting peace.
It was impressive to see them together going and putting themselves beyond border and race.
It has been four years since people took part in this festival on their own free will.
What made them move?

It seems that HWPL has the definite answer to achieve peace in this world.
Our chairman of peace, Mr. Man Hee Lee, said, "At present, 80% of the world's wars are caused by religion.
Making conflicts and leaving one’s way is not the meaning given by heaven."
Therefore, HWPL is continuing with its various activities to effectively solve religious disputes and to compare with their own scriptures to unify and set aside differences when it comes to religions in order to become as one at the WARP office.

In addition, the peace walk is being held in various locations and countries around the world, in which the father, mother, and young people of the world are united to pray for peace.
And each country celebrates 525 days and participates in the peace movement.

This year, we are expecting over 400,000 people to gather together as well as march in their respective cities. What a grand and unexpected move! Live streaming of the Seoul event will be available online and there's still more to come!

Enjoy all the excitement of the event from any location through the live streaming on http://bit.ly/2qbwGbM
(The event starts @ Korea Standard Time 2PM)

[Peace News] HWPL 3rd Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk

 [Peace News]

HWPL 3rd Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk

On 25th day of May 2013, before the Peace Gate of the Olympic Park in Seoul, South Korea, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, and Restoration of Light (HWPL) had hosted the Walk for World Peace and Restoration.

Young people from 130 nations around the world had gathered together in the Republic of Korea with IPYG.

Over 30,000 youth representing 130 countries including the United States, Portugal, Greece, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Belarus, and Columbia had gathered to participate in the event.

Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light's chairman, Mr. Man Hee Lee was focused on the youth of the world. He believes the youth are the key to change.
He announced the first Declaration of World Peace and it was an unprecedented event in the history of our world.

I received a message from HWPL:
"We cordially invite you to the 3rd Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk. This year's commemorative event will highlight the collective efforts of youth and women across the globe towards peace and will increase the public's attention and support of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War"

I'm really looking forward to this day! The 1st and 2nd events were amazing but, it'll be even more amazing to participate in when it comes to the 3rd Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace and the Peace Walk.

One of the reason why I am expecting many to join us is because I heard that HWPL will conduct a "Legislate Peace" Campaign - so you can sign to show your Support.

Isn't it amazing we can make world peace together by participating in this campaign?

Whoever loves peace can be together with us on this day! Let's walk for peace!!!
